We stayed in this hotel from 24th to 26th May 2017. I have never seen such a bad quality hotel. The rooms are so uncleaned, FREE WIFI, BUT YOU CAN'T USE IT. When I asked them for WIFI SIGNAL, Got the Strange reply that it was because our rooms are closed. They expect us to keep the doors open to use the WIFI. Unhygienic. Rooms are VERY MUCH OVERPRICED COMPARED to the QUALITY. The Plates in the Dining so uncleaned. Very difficult to eat. The Hotel Manager seems to take commission from the taxi he books for Sight Seeing. The manager told us that The Taxis will take us to 15+ View Points, but the taxis took us to ONLY 6 View Points, but charged us Rs 2500/ each (We had booked 2 taxis). The Manager asked us to give them that amount. IT WAS A CLEAR CHEATING. When I asked him the to book an Inova for gangtok to NJP and asked the Charge , he told us it would be Rs 3500. But we booked another Inova ourselves and paid only Rs 2500. ONE MUST BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. BEST IS NOT TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Only Plus Point is the Locality of the Hotel.

Brought to this hotel by local cab driver. Stayed two days. Location is good.One can simply walk down to MG road,the main market place for tourists attraction and all kinds of eateries.Taxi drivers will over charge,but don"t feel cheated;summer is the peak season for locals to earn extra in the remote hill station.If interested in adventure,go for white water rafting while on way to Gangtok or while returning to Siliguri.Home-Stays are also available around the Town and are reasonably good place to stay, if nestled away from the Town.For tea lovers,the first flush of TEMI TEA is devine.Take this tea home and also give as souvenir to friends,they will remember you.Hotel fair view has very basic amenities,with only few rooms with a view to the Kanchanjunga peaks.Have your meals in MG Road so far possible.Happy touring Sikkim.

I have stayed in this hotel for 2 days this month only,very good hotel with fair price with all the basic amenities they also arrange the local sight seeing with nominal costing like we took a share taxi from the Hotel to visit Changu Lake,Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass with only charge of Inr.800 with entry permit charges.
Over all a good experience and will recommend.

Hotel Location is very good just 2 mint walk able distance from MG Road and rope way. Staffs are very good. Mr. Sharma, manager is a nice person. Rooms are specious and well ventilated. Room service is satisfactory. All rooms are having geyser and 32" Led TV. Mr. Sharma is very co-operative for arranging package tour and Local sight seeing taxi with reasonable price. Overall I can say it is worthy to stay at Hotel fair view Gangtok.

I went to this hotel on 12th . It was raining at 8 o,clock.when I went to reception I felt that I am taking a ticket for train,no attention was paid by them,all the room was smelling very bad ,the blanket and bed was dirty as if, it was not changer for one week. no hot water,food was very costly . the did not let us boil millk for my child too. If you have child who goes on millk ,Plz dont even thing of going there. no shop near by for millk.hotel milk was 40 for a small glass. execpt the waiter no one was gentel .the lady and men sitting on the reciption was oo much harssssss.......
next morrining I went to another hotel.
If you go there You will keep you dignity on tose.
