Pleasant stay
Ross Don 03/11/2016 21:41Large, pleasant room with super-sized bed (stayed off-peak). The room has external shutters so make sure these are closed otherwise light pollution will interrupt your sleep. It was very quiet. As the name implies, it's very conveniently located for the train station. The only real downside was the food: whilst breakfast was passable (except the coffee), dinner was over-priced and sub-par quality. My rating reflects bed and breakfast, not dinner.

Esmonde Hon 24/08/2016 08:13Great hotel to stay at. First class staff and a very simple, clean and relaxing environment. Also, the house wine is amazing !! The spa is also very nice. The nearby lakes are very relaxing and a great site see. The nearby lakes have great waterfalls to see also.

He welcomed us to the hotel on a dark and rainy night, alerted us by phone when dinner was ready in the restaurant, and offered us extra special after dinner liquor (his grandfather's recipe). The food, made from local ingredients, was delicious. Since we were only there for one night, and it was cloudy, we didn't really get a full sense of the beauty of the surrounding mountains. However it was very convenient to the site I wanted to visit.
Luca (who speaks English) also patiently helped us book a hotel for the next night, calling the hotel owners.
There was ample parking and free wifi. I enjoyed seeing the historic photos on the wall. The warm hospitality, good food, and wireless capability made our short stay enjoyable.
