Great location and staff
bill fon 05/06/2017 15:34Booked 11 nights in an "executive double" that was very comfortable and had an incredible view. Only drawback was that it had the smallest shower I've ever been in, but we survived that. Meanwhile, the staff - everyone - clerks, housekeeping, breakfast - all were charming, efficient and helpful. A hotel since the 1700s that was constructed from residential towers originally built in the 1100s, it is situated in a very quiet corner just yards away from the main piazzas in the heart of the historical center. Also, the price was about a third of what we have paid for anything similar in Rome or Venice.

Quaint hotel in a great location

The location was perfect, close to the city centre. Once through the door, it was pretty obvious this was not a 4 or 5 star hotel and whilst the service was great from very welcoming staff, the rooms were very basic and could do with some updating.
We had a reasonably good sleep, a warm shower and a decent breakfast before departing the next morning.
For a single night, the hotel was fine but I wouldn't consider an extended stay.
Nice historic hotel in a quaint town
Paul Non 02/05/2017 20:50Fortuna was a a great location and very historic but the rooms and bathrooms were basic. Nice breakfast and so nice to be within the walls for an evening walk and a morning power walk. Place in down an alley but close to the town square and the cathedral and the shops.
Great location, shame about the rest
Susan Ton 26/04/2017 22:37Hotel Fortuna was our first stop on a tour of Italy this month after Rome. It's in a fantastic location in the old city of Perugia, very central and easy to get around. There are some truly beautiful elements to the hotel like the reading room, it was a shame about the rest. My room was a good size but with a small bathroom and a very small shower. The bed was uncomfortable and I didn't get much sleep. This was the common report the next morning amongst other things. You take the good with the bad at a 3 star hotel, the good did include the lift. The hotel is fine for only one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer.
