We landed up at Gaj Kesri because another hotel close-by did not honour our booking ! At the outset, we got a good deal and we liked the hotel and the rooms, so decided to check-in.
This place though is way out of town, in the middle of nowhere, and therefore commute to the town takes a long time. Rooms are big and well furnished with a separate dressing room ! Hotel upkeep is good, Be aware that there is no running hot water and bucket of hot water for a bath has to be requested ! We had requested for hot water on the day we had to leave on the previous day itself, as we were to leave early in the morning. To our utter disbelief, nobody was even awake at the hotel desk, because of which, our departure was delayed by over an hour !
We were given a handwritten bill with GST included (see attached), with an assurance that the proper bill would be e-mailed to me. It has been almost 3 weeks since our stay there, but yet to receive !
The attitude of the front desk was too casual - typical 'chalta hai' !
Restaurant is exorbitant, and you do not have a choice !

We at last moment decided to go to bikaner as we were stuck up for rooms in fatehpur and laxmangarh area. While on the move we checked out various hotels and almost finalised a hotel when My son said he knows this hotel and it is a good one, and he got not a deal but dacoity deal through ibibo , don't know how. We reached around 8, but due to some issue between hotel and ibibo we were unable to check in immediately, but they were kind enough to offer us drinks till matter was being resolved. Anyway it was all done but we were given a room for first night in annexe as main rooms were full. Good room sans TV which we don't want on our holidays in any case. Early morning we were out and came back late afternoon and we were transfered to a huge and very good room in main hotel portion. We were again out wandering and after dinner when we came back they had singer and a band entertaining the guests, which enjoyed and retired. Huge and well maintained property maybe mostly booked by foreigners and for marriages. Big minus point it is a VEGETARIAN hotel. And moreover it is around 10 KMS from main city, which is not a issue since it takes hardly 15 minutes.

Really nice property. On the outskirts of Bikaner. Rooms are done up nicely and the pool is very inviting and relaxing !!
Lots of open spaces to lounge and relax.
Surely would recommend for a stay !!!

Hotel Gaj Kesari is one of my Favourite hotels in Rajasthan.
This place makes you feel as if you are living in that old era where things used to be like the typical bikaneri style.
👉Food is amazing
👉This place will make you feel like you are at home.
👉 The sunsets are breathtaking. Do not miss the sunsets and sunrise.
👉 A must visit place for photographers.

From the morning tea to the lavish lunch, from the dry afternoon to the smooth pleasant sunset, from the refreshing evening swim to the late night drink with cultural rajasthani music... This place gave me the experience of my lifetime, a must visit, great food, out of the world ambience, sand dunes, so much to love, the hotel staff team gave us so much warmth during our stay. I thank gaj kesri team for making my holidays golden.
