This was a short stay for me. I fortune the staff extremely helpful and cheerful. The public areas are well maintained and spotless.
The bar area in particular was a good place to relax in. Well chosen music to set the mood. Tapas for you to snack on and a bar man with a sense of humour.
The room are clean, bright and quiet.
I would stay here again

A very nice hotel with friendly staff and a nice pool in a good location. Very good value for the room we stayed in (a suite). The air conditioning worked well and the bed was very large. Nice breakfasts. Surprised to see guests with dogs, but they were in a separate part of the hotel. There were a few small downsides: the safe was very small - I had to take the small lens off my DSLR camera to fit it in. It was about 20 minute walk to the city wall and another 20 minute to piazza del campo, but this helped make the hotel a quiet place to stay

I stayed at Hotel Garden for 4 nights.
I was a bit apprehensive about the location of the hotel after reading previous reviews. I didn't have access to a car, so relied on public transport. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which runs every half an hour (Monday to Saturday less frequent on a Sunday) and takes around 10 minutes to get into the city centre. Alternatively you can get a taxi for around €10. One night I did walk into town however it took a good 25 minutes so I wouldn't recommend this in the summer heat! Unfortunately the buses only run until 8:15pm, so one night I attempted to get the night bus (which never turned up!) so if you are planning on going into town of an evening I'd recommend getting a taxi back. Saying this, the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle which made it a really relaxing trip.
The staff were great, I couldn't fault them, particularly the staff on reception.
The room was a good size and very clean however there were a couple of bits that needed a bit of work doing such as the taps in the bathroom being quite worn. Our bed sheets and towels were changed everyday which was another nice touch.
There was a good selection for breakfast whether you wanted a cooked or continental breakfast. We didn't eat at the hotel as the menu was quite limited and also quite a bit more expensive then other restaurants in the area.
The wifi could have been a little better, as it disconnected quite a lot. Also there were no English TV channels however this didn't matter too much as I don't go on holiday to watch TV!
The best parts of the hotel for me were the view and the pool. The views were breathtaking, you can see all over Siena and make a great photo.

We had a nice stay here. The staff are very friendly & knowledgeable. Alta in particular looked after us very well. An excellent barman. Food & drink is not cheap, bacardi (very large!) & can of coke is €10. Salad for lunch €11. I can't make my mind up if the decor of the hotel is just dated or that it is the Italian way. For example, quilted seat covers in the restaurant, 1960s comes to mind. It wouldn't put me off staying here again but some modernising wouldn't go amiss. The rooms are split over three areas. There are rooms in the main building & two other 'blocks'. Our room was quiet & almost in a basement. We did have an outside terrace but couldn't see anything due to the very high trees. It was large with everything you need. Lovely white fluffy towels. Good shower & toiletries. Safe & fridge. Air conditioning worked very well.
As previous reviews have mentioned the walk into Siena can take 30-40mins. The bus is right outside of the hotel, don't forget to get a ticket from the hotel reception for €1.20 & validate it when you get on the bus. We didn't know about the ticket & got on the bus where the driver seemed fed up of this happening so we had a free ride into town!!
Pool area is nice. Not immediately attached to the hotel. It is in a different garden area. Plenty of sun beds, towels are provided.

A very nice comfortable hotel with style nothing like a chain every bedroom furnished differently some great views of Siena good choice and quality of breakfast nice pool area and small but very friendly bar manned by one of the hotels greatest assets Atla a very good barman.if you can stay in the villa (the original building) and have a room at the rear overlooking Siena
