The room in front of the beach is nice.
andreina_sanderon 27/03/2017 03:56We went two nights and it was relaxing, the service was great, and the room was better than we expected. We got air conditioner, the bathroom works perfectly and it is big. You don´t get a tv or internet, so take your laptop with movies for the night or a book or things to do at night. We got a minibar which was great for having cold drinks. The beach is really nice, sunsets are just amazing. It would be great to enjoy a DJ (ibiza style lol), or a jazz band, or music, with the sunset at the beach. I order a fish for dinner and it was delicious, and also the chocolate ice cream with licor. The staff is friendly and Gilda is always checking that everything is going well. WORKS PRETTY GOOD FOR TAKING YOUR DOG TO THE BEACH.
A great dog friendly boutique hotel!
GregDavies75on 30/01/2016 03:39I absolutely loved this place! The team are great.. They cook wonderful, fresh food all day long which was simply delicious. I also loved that there are plenty of different places and styles of seating to use; deckchairs, sofas, covered palapas on the beach and many more.
Lovely room and the dogs absolutely loved the freedom of being right on the beach. 24 hour security and a wonderful isolated beach really made the stay ideal. I'd highly recommend the hotel Gilda.
Enchanting place!
ChulettasChoiceon 16/10/2015 21:05I was a little skeptical as I would be driving alone from Mexico City, but I made a wonderful choice!! I rented the Samoa bungalow on the beach, I stayed there with my 2 dogs and the 3 of us had an exquisite time!
Connie, as Gilda was on vacation, was wonderful and warm! Mauricio and Esther, the two people that cook, clean and look after the place, are also marvelous! They made the stay a wonderful weekend. Their cooking was a delight, very homie. Juan, the night guard was also very kind and helpful!
I really liked being able to park right under the bungalow and be able to see my car at all times, the bungalow was simple, comfortable and very cozy.
Amazing

Probably best guest house on beach, with friendly service
Daniel Bon 08/06/2015 19:59Restaurant was good, room (right on the beach) was well built, tasteful, and well-appointed (reading lamps, coffee pot, etc). But the best feature is the service and kindness of the staff and the owner. They helped us find our lost dog and brokered his return.
a gem on the beach north of acapulco
va12345on 23/03/2014 23:39What a great place to get away from it all, yet still have all of the creature comforts. This was my third trip to Pie de la Cuesta, but my first stay at Hotel Gilda. I highly recommend it, and found it to be a step above the other places I have been in the area. It is on the same beautiful stretch of beach north of Acapulco, but has a more private and relaxing feel since it is a bit away from the cluster of tourist hotels in Pie de la Cuesta. The owner Gilda certainly knows how to create a hospitable environment. She was a lot of fun, her staff members were friendly and accommodating, and the place was nicely decorated with an authentic colonial Mexican feel. Acapulco is not far away if you want to go shopping or sightseeing, and a couple staying at the hotel said Gilda helped them make arrangements to go kayaking on a lagoon not far from the hotel. The place feels like a small, intimate destination resort since all meals are available. Although there is a separate charge for the meals, it is well worth the price. The food is wonderful – delicious, interesting, and presented as you would find in a high-end restaurant. I stayed in the room Playa. The room itself was small, but adequate for one person. It was nicely decorated, had a fantastic view of the ocean, and was impeccably clean. The beach area is well-equipped with chairs, hammocks and shade from the sun. Sunsets are nothing short of spectacular.
