Very nice but hidden away
Gary805on 07/11/2016 12:31We were very grateful to find this place open as it was getting a bit late. The hotel room was a bit small and basic considering it says it was 4 star. I used the pool and sauna in the basement which was great. Breakfast was very impressive, they went to a lot of effort considering we were the only 2 people there.
I would like to meet the person that awarded 4 **** to this hotel!!!
italian186422on 08/04/2016 14:10My son and his Family, returned to this hotel after having stayed here 4 years ago and if anything....... in general the hotel and it's services have deteriorated considerably!
They stayed for 2 nights in a family-room, that is very dated and in a desperate need of basic attention; with the type of furnishing found in an average 3* hotel in the early 70th and not terrible clean either, (especially the bath-room).
We stopped for a light Lunch in the Restaurant on the day of arrival; where we had a very good cold meats and cheese platter with fresh salads and fries for the children.
The Restaurant Manager- Andrea, was very helpful and with a genuine friendly approach, but the rest of staff that we came in contact, were indifferent at best!!!
Having recently retired, after spending just over 50 years working in the Catering Industry, (in a number of European countries), and travelling a lot around the world, my suggestion to the owners is: you need to invest not only in the basic fabrics of the hotel, but also in the basic training of your staff! In my opinion, most of them, lack the basic understanding of what is "Customer Service" in a service Industry!
Modern hotel needs some work
BrunoAPon 30/08/2009 22:44This hotel is in the mountains south of Potenza and has friendly staff and very nice public and outside areas. The restaurant also serves great food all day. They do have wireless.
The rooms however really need some work, they are worn and tired looking plus the noise from other levels can keep you up at night. They seem to cater to business groups and weddings.
There are limited options in this area so though not a great hotel it may be an only choice.
