Boutique, family run hotel in an excellent location for visiting Rome city centre. My wife and I met some friends in Rome last week for 4 days and stayed at the Hotel Golden because it was close to the hotels where our friends were staying. We are very pleased with our choice as the family Loria who own the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent advice and recommendations for restaurants and visits, and are very determined to help their guests have a pleasant trip to the city. The other reviews which reference this aspect are completely correct.
The rooms were nice and the breakfast was excellent. The Hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or evening meals or a bar (but does have a nice selection in the mini bar in the room). However there are good restaurants and bars very close to the hotel. My family and I would definitely stay there again during any future Rome trip - which I hope will be soon.

It was like visiting friends for the attitude by the family running the hotel. Warm and welcoming. Very helpful. Spoke really goos English. Great home cookes breakfast. Never left hungry.
We really enjoyed and would be happy to stay there again.

I have just returned from a four night stay here, having booked on the strength of previous TripAdvisor reviews, and they’re all true, it really is as good as people say. I was travelling alone and booked the single room which, whilst being small, was more than adequate for my needs (& it’s a single room so they are rarely large). I had a nightmare getting from Florence due to train issues and arrived late but that wasn’t a problem for them at all. It’s a very small, family run hotel so if you’re a lively hen/stag group it’s not the place for you (I didn’t hear people coming and going late at night, I suspect I was the latest at about 10.30pm!) but that suited me perfectly. The breakfasts are great, the bed comfortable but what made it for me was the sense of care, they genuinely look after their guests. I will return to Rome next year and I’m not staying anywhere but here. Lovely.

This is a small family run hotel that treats you as one of their family members. The two brothers, daughter and mother and father are always around and always helpful. The mama, makes (along with her daughter-in-law) an excellent breakfast. She also is an amazing pastry chef as shown when she made my wife a birthday tort-that happened to be excellent. The family takes great pride in making sure that every guest is treated special and they spend time to ensure you maximize your trip...dinner res, shows, booking tours, information. There is no other place we'd stay at while in Rome. As Guiseppe said ""è stato veramente come avere amici di famiglia in casa" (it was like having family friends visiting us) you made it so special, because it felt like you really wanted to meet our family and not just visit Rome itself.. it was a great experience for us to share home with you! Is that great or what?!!! BTW- the rooms are great too!

Prior to even arriving in Rome, Giuseppe arranged transportation, advised on possible tour companies and answered various questions regarding Rome. Upon arrival we were welcomed to the family hotel. The hotel is clean, lovely and "Mama" provides a wonderful breakfast. They arranged for taxi service, printed off our boarding passes and recommended restaurants in the area. Highly recommended!
