Haifa is located very close to Assi Ghat, a less than 5 minute walk. The locality around the hotel is lively and this may turn up quite noisy at times - especially during festivals.
The rooms are clean but lack proper planning an arrangement of furniture. The room we had was quite large and the ceiling fan was not at all above the bed.
The existence of power backup is doubtful. We experience a power outage for a couple of hours at night and there was no option but to wait for it to come back.
Recommended for a short stay if you are looking forward to stay close to Assi Ghat and would not want to splurge.

This hotel is a great location to the Ganghi, within walking distance. The rooms are basic but they have air con and hot water and the restaraunt is lovely and cheap would recommend. Stayed with Intrepid

There are probably better places in Varanasi. This hotel is not extremely clean, pretty chaotic and organised in 2 main buidlings with alternate and unreliable internet access. Air conditioning can be very noisy; rooms are sometimes too small.

Stayed 3 nights with a group passing through Varanasi. The hotel is located close to Assi Ghat by the Ganges- a short 5 minutes walk gets you to the river bank and 10 minutes by tuk tuk takes you to the main shopping district.
Staff - reception and restaurant were pleasant.
The hotel and rooms are dated and could do with updating. The rooms are basic. The beds are hard bordering on uncomfortable and the rooms and bathrooms could do with a good clean.
The restaurant serves decent vegetarian meals and the staff make up for the shortcomings of the fabric.

I visited this hotel with Intrepid travel. We were told on arrival to put used toilet paper in a bin because of blockages to the sewerage. My open bin was not cleaned in two days.The room was poorly appointed ..charger plug fell out of wall and a/c sounded like a tractor.. I got no sleep. I was trapped in the loft 5 times a vey unpleasant experience. On reporting it to the manger I was.toldin a very rude manner it was power cuts,, rubbish,,,Wifi was more often than not unavailable.On an early trip to the Ganges we had to step over the sleeping guard who still did not wake.
The hotel boys were very good,the hotel was well positioned,the cheese omelettes were good . Breakfast was over priced,
So dear reader unless they put a lot of things right,starting with the rude uncaring manager... give this one a miss!!!!
