Hotel Hill View was very bad experience. Bathroom was filthy with water pouring out from various taps and pipes. The mug provided in the bathroom , though blue in colour, looked like black due to the filth. The blanket looked like has been used for the last ten years without washing. We got much better hotels at cheaper rates in the same location. Please do not make the mistake of going to Hotel Hill View You will regret it

The rooms were really comfortable and classy. Few rooms had a great view towards the hill and the snow capped mountains were just amazing. The staff were really very friendly. The food provided was very delicious.
The only problem was, we did not get hot water as soon as we checked in. It started coming only the next day onwards.

We stayed as family in June'16 end and were having 2 rooms. View from front side room is good and from back side room, it's equally pathetic. Condition of rooms is not good and they are in serious need to repairs and renovations. In one of our room, carpet was smelling, so we asked them to change the room. Then in the replaced room, main door was very hard and while opening it, its handle came out by their staff. So they gave us another room. For that room as well, door knob was loose and about to come out, but we decided to manage for a night. Bathroom in that room was having leaking tap pipe which was causing whole bathroom to remain wet all the time. Overall hotel rooms are not worth any price you are paying for a decent family stay.
Now some good points: Hotel's location is very good and is at the start of the main market. Good eating joints are near to this place and Lidder river is also at walking distance. Hotel's staff and service is really good and prompt, and they hear to what you say. Included breakfast was also good, they served us with stuffed Parathas, sandwitches and tea/coffee.

Hotel is not worth the price. Rooms are average and they offer hot water for a limited only. We went there as a couple but didn't like it at all as galleries were not properly lit up and a corner room was offered.

A Good Hotel with friendly staff. we have taken this hotel through Goibibo and booked just 5 minutes before to the checkin. Good clean rooms.
There is an ATM just adjacent to the hotel and also it is just near to the main new market. You can also reach to the river side just in 2 minutes. Rive is just in front of the hotel, you have to cross the pony parking area. Quality of the rooms and service is excellent.
Views are good, try to take hill view rooms. They can improve little on service, sometimes i found noone sitting at reception when i needed something.
