Nazir and his father made us feel welcome the moment we picked up the phone to book their place ! They are just the kind of host that fit their beautiful and quite place up in the hills, with a balcony for the views and garden for a stroll. We had the luxury of home cooked meals and two rooms with a sittImg area all to ourselves at a very affordable price. Their tourism advice was priceless, so was their rapport with our kids !! All in all , we would love to go there again ...
Very cozy & homely

It was great staying in the hills cape inn.Rooms are very nice & cozy provided with all amenities .The attic upstairs is simply beautiful.Parking is also available .free wifi.Well decorated extra dinning room not like a restaurant. Nice place for Family & couple. Nasir with his father took care of us very well.Homely food, they even served us boil veg & saag when we request.Tried kashmiri local desert Phirni. They arranged us a cab for local sightseeing & round trip to pahalgam.
Location is also good , near Dal lake but away from the hustle bustle of the city. Didn't take much time to reach tulip garden, pari mahal, chasma shahi, 10 min walks to NIshat baag(Beautiful Mughal terrace Garden).
If you want to have the feeling of staying in a normal kashmiri residential area its the right place for you.
Personal touch and beautiful

We stayed for 3 days. Nassir and his father looked after us very well. Provide necessary facilities. Recommend the most suitable places to visit. We shared our travel experiences together. Felt like family. We stayed in th best suite on th topmost floor. It had a lovely view of the Chinar trees. Food is absolutely delicious. We had a very happy stay. Highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to plunge into Kashmiri culture. Nassir and his father are very helpful good hearted people.
Not a hotel - a guest house at max

I have booked this hotel for two nights during my Srinagar visit in June 2016. I zeroed in to this place after reading the reviews. When I posted a query regarding this hotel, somebody suggested me that it was a good budget hotel. Before booking this hotel, I'd a call with Nasir and he advised me to book the suite room on the top floor. I'd booked through Agoda at Rs 5,500/- per night (total 11k).
When I reached there from Pahelgam, it was a terrible experience. The hotel was located in a blind lane in a residential area. It was a house made to function as a hotel. The rooms had glass windows and the curtains were insufficient. One can easily see from outside - not at all suitable for families. No one was staying in this place. In fact, the guest entry registry book looked fishy. I also don't remember updating my details there.
The hotel is run by father-son duo and they have two servants. We went out for a tour in the day and had a change in plan and thought to drop by the hotel for some rest. To our surprise, the entry was locked. I called up Nasir multiple times and finally he came back with his servants who opened the gate.
We had moved out to a different hotel in the dal-lake area, which was cheaper and much better.
I strongly recommend everybody to avoid this hotel, especially if you are traveling as a couple or with your family.
Its a home outside home...but food price definitely need a correction

Hillscape Inn is located few km away from main market area of Dal lake. Its close to Nishat Garden. So if you want to enjoy Srinagar evening life like dinner or shopping from you hotel, then it’s not the place unless you have your own car or arrangement with the driver.
Its basically a homestay. Owner of it, Gulzarji & his son, both are extremely helpful. You’ll never feel that you are away from home just because of them. Car arrangement also can be done by them.
When we checked in, we are given the choice to take any room we like. The both front room at 1st floor are quite spacious. Inside room all the arrangements are quite basic. TV placed in the common room outside.
Breakfast is complimentary. But the choice is less – bread butter or Poha. We also got omelette every day. Dinner/lunch is meal system @ Rs 300 per meal which is quite costly. Menu is One sabji, daal, rice & roti.
Room service guys are polite, helpful & courteous.
Free wifi is available.
