boxiraon 16/09/2016 17:12All very, very mediocre. In the ordered dishes, only Buffalo chees was tasty in Caprese salad. Sea bass, called Bronzino in Italy, brought half of a fish wrapped in a roll. Cooked not tasty. And, it seems, from thawed fish. Probably have for dinner looking for a restaurant on the side!
Good friendly holiday hotel
Paul Ton 05/04/2016 18:41Nice facilities, very friendly, adequate rooms, and food.
Very spacious grounds, which lead to the beach and marina, with bars and restaurants.
A good choice for a family holiday on this beautiful island.
good stay
longauermaroson 26/02/2016 23:02the hotel was cool, services as well, food amazing, italy is italy...
you need to have a car, coz the beach is not really nice, and there on this area is a plenty of nice ones, but a little bit far a way from the hotel.
Nice place, good for your money.
on 11/09/2015 17:24My girl and I booked this hotel for a week in September 2015. The hotel wasn't easy to find because the exits and signs are really close to each other, but after the first time you won't forget it!
The hotel: it's divided into different area's. There is a reception, a few apartments, a building with hotel rooms & restaurant, a pool with a restaurant and a tenniscourt which also serves as a soccer field. All are connected to each other with a nice garden and clean path. The path also leads to the beach area, which is a ten minute walk from the room.
The room: Nice room, big enough for two. If you want you can let it be cleaned every day. There is a decent bed, a good bathroom with a big shower head, a flatscreen tv, airconditioning and a big terras to sit outside. We played cards there every night. Bring something against mosquitoes because they are present as well.
The food: It's nice. Sometimes you want something else than what they have on the menu so don't expect much and you will be fine. They just make a different menu every night with two or three choices per course. The breakfast is good, there is a lot to choose from. If you want to eat good pasta or pizza, go to La Maggiorana up the hill in Agrustos. The reception of the hotel can help with directions.
Staff: Respect for the staff. They are the same each morning and evening. They work a lot and will always do the best they can. They always greet you nicely and walk the extra mile to help you. They do try to get you out of the restaurant as soon as possible. Sometimes when you just finished a starter, a minute later they bring you the main course.
The hotel let's you build up the bill till the end of your stay. That way you never have to think about your wallet/money while you are at the pool or in the restaurant. We suggest you keep track of what you take next to what you booked. You never know what might go wrong.
All in all we had a pleasant stay here. It's really quiet, well taken care of and close to nice villages. The only downside to our stay was the weather. If it's cloudy and you don't have a rental car, you can get bored really fast. There are no extra facilities to entertain you at the hotel other than what I have written. Enjoy your stay and greeting from Holland!
Relaxing holiday
Tanya Hon 10/09/2015 15:33I went on a relaxing holiday with my partner and my daughter who was 2yrs (9mnts). We stayed for 7 nights half board. The transfer from the airport was well organised and only half an hour. We were upgraded to a family room with patio through our travel company due to none of our original choices being available - well worth getting one of these rooms if you can. We stayed in room 209 and the positioning was perfect for us. The room was clean and just the right size for the three of us. I think it may have been a little on the small size for four due to the amount of storage. We had a double wardrobe and four draws - again fine for us. The air conditioning was a blessing and the bathroom was a good size, although the shower doors were faulty and there was quite a bit of water on the floor once we had finished showering. We had a lovely patio which was shaded from the sun (much needed haven) and a nice front garden (shared with our neighbour) which was a nice added bit of outside space. We had a short walk to the restaurant which served lovely buffet breakfast. The breakfast was the same everyday but there was a good choice so you couldn't get bored. The coffee that the waiters made was amazing - worth the little wait. The dinner had a buffet of salad while you wait and fruit buffet for after. There were set menus each night with a few options. All the food was delicious. You didn't get a choice of desert but it was always lovely and you could still have the fruit if you wanted. The house wine was nice (red & white)and a good price (forget price as it was added onto our room)
The pool was a little further into the resort. The pool was lovely and never struggled for a sun lounger. We couldn't believe how quiet it was. The pool was lovely although quite a few tiles were missing on the pool floor and the sides of the pool. Luckily we didn't get injured but saw a few children who had been cut. The pool bar had lovely ice cream at a really cheap price €1 one scoop on a cone...bargain. The choice of sandwiches were reasonable too €4 for a large ham and cheese roll.
The beach was about a 10 min walk from our room but there was a little row of golf carts that would take you there for free. We chose to walk as we enjoyed the sunshine.
The beach was lovely although had quite a bit of seaweed/dried out grass on the sand in places. It didn't bother us but wasn't as beautiful as I had hoped. The sea was clean and warm. You could hire loungers and parasols but we didn't bother as we went to the pool in the afternoon. There was a nice part of the beach with was reserved for another hotel so in guessing they must have cleaned all the grass and seaweed away....didn't spoil it though.
In the evenings it's worth taking a stroll into the port (10 mins). They have a few restaurants, stalls and kids entertainment which starts around 9-9:30. The hotel itself doesn't have much going on in the evening which was fine as it was very relaxing. Older kids would have been bored. We went a place called Coco's one evening for a change of atmosphere and the service and food were great. We had bread (which they add into the bill, we thought it was complementary), two pizza's (one kids) and a lovely ravioli and great bottle of wine all for €45. Ice creams at the port was just a little bit more that the pool bar at €1.50 - still a great price. We also found a few supermarkets at the port that sold good priced water and wine. Although the mini bar was well priced we would get through a few ltrs a day so the minibar wasn't quite big enough.
The staff were friendly some of the restaurant staff could speak English although I wish I had learnt a little Italian as I felt awful not being able to converse a little when we needed a high chair on our first day.
Great relaxing family holiday - would go again.
