We chose this hotel after reading a few TripAdvisor reviews and were delighted with it. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious although the shower was a bit small. Even though it was on the main road in the village it was very quiet; we slept with the windows opened and slept very soundly. The receptionist was the most friendly and helpful young woman we have met in a very long time. We asked for a map of the two villages and surrounding area and she ran off to the tourist office to get a few maps and English language brochures while we settled into our room; she was excellent and a welcoming presence. We would highly recommend this hotel (and the villages of Montelupo and Capraia Fiorentina, famous for pottery and still producing some wonderful crafts today) as well as the local fish restaurant (Osteria Livornese) for anyone seeking a bit of quiet local Italian culture away from the hustle and chaos of Florence.

I arrived late a night to find a hall full of local people, friends of the owner, staring at me. I get the key to my VERY small room, to find 28 degrees in the room, complained to the owner only to be told that the air con has been switched off and that If I wanted to sleep cooler I should open the window. The TV does not work (I can only get a local sport channel), the parking is small and full of cars from staff and the breakfast buffet is poor! I WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN!

Very nice hotel with modern and practical amenities. Fantastic staff, helpful friendly and making us feel at home.
The access ramp to the parking was a bit intimidating for a North American used to wider driving conditions, but I quickly got used to it.
Breakfast is plentiful and the coffee was "buenissimo". The surrounding villages of Montelupo and Capraia were very charming - as were their inhabitants. Centered in Tuscany and proximate to main highways, makes it an ideal location for the traveller who wants to make day trips (easy drive to the East and West coasts) or simply relax in the town square while sipping on an espresso (or a cold beer...)
The Hotel I'Fiorino is conveniently close to the train station (5 minute walk) and restaurants. Take the time to hike up to the nearby church and admire the splendid view of the Arno River valley.
