We agreed to spend the weekend at this hotel and we were planning to do this with some other friends. Our requirements changed in time (one of our friend left Italy back to US for a medical emergency: father had a heart attack) therefore we had to reduce our room number. Well, the owner most likely after a number of emails decided unilaterally to cancel our reservation and once called up on the phone explained that he couldn't keep our rooms for one or two days because someone else decided to spend a couple of weeks at his hotel. I never experienced anything like that... Ischia has many hotels available so if you have a choice just go elsewhere.
