This hotel is super. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, quiet and very nice. The restaurant is good and the bar areas are good too. WIFI was really good. The staff were excellent and really friendly. The standout here is the swimming pool and relaxing area, make sure you go for a swim if possible. One small issue, we were charged 10 Euro for a packed lunch which was really basic and not worth it.

Just returned from a trip here, it is a wonderful place, relaxing, clean and well kept. I am getting married near by to the hotel and would recommend this hotel to all! lots of my guests will be staying in this hotel and I am totally at ease with knowing that they will be comfortable and happy here. The restaurant offer good food and the rooms are spacious and tidy.
The staff are really polite we would like to say a massive thank you to Simone and Mario who made this stay for me and my mum so entertaining, they were just so friendly and accommodating. Making us laugh and there to help with anything that we asked.
We look forward to returning in August.

The hotel is located about a mile outside Monteriggioni. We stayed for 4 nights with our Riviera Travel tour. The hotel has 50 rooms all at ground level and is built in a horseshoe shape. In the centre of the horseshoe is a well sized swimming pool with an outside bar at the top. Half the rooms look to the outside of the horseshoe onto trees and hedging whilst the remainder face the pool - better as you can walk directly from your room to the pool Bring your own beach towel as they don't like you using the room towel and charge 5€ to hire a towel.. Each room has an outside door with a table and two chairs outside. Around the pool are comfortable sun beds and umbrellas. Our room was adequately sized and the king sized bed comfortable. The ensuite with shower was small but adequate. The hotel is quite modern and very tastefully decorated. Perhaps because it is quite new the power plugs require a third centre earth pin before they will allow a plug to be inserted. If you have the normal two pin continental plug this will not work. Fortunately we managed to find a plug that worked otherwise we would have been unable to recharge phone and ipad! There is free WiFi but the download speed seems proportional to distance - quite fast in reception but if you are towards the end of the horse shoe then painfully slow or even nothing. The air conditioning was very effective. Breakfast was very good and is taken in a different room to dinner. They have excellent automatic coffee machines and we like their scrambled egg which seemed very fresh. There is a nice lounge and inside bar for a drink before dinner. Dinner is taken in a conservatory overlooking the pool. The food was good and very well presented especially the deserts. It s possible to walk across fields (on a hard track) to Monteriggioni . We did this in both directions and it took an hour each way - the final section is steep. Alternatively the hotel provide a minibus for 5€ which is refunded if you eat in their restaurant in Monteriggini. We are cheapskates and didn't but can recommend La Cerchia in the main square - they have tables & chairs, cheap beer and they also knock up a nice cheese or ham sandwich.

Specially in summer the Piccolo Castello is a wonderful place where u can stay while traveling around Siena. The restaurant is very good, home made bread and pizza, good meat and good wine. Rooms are very big and for a family it is a nice stay.

We stayed here for two nights.
Absolutely get a room facing the pool as you'll get a lovely outdoor space where you can sip your wine at night and watch the stars.
This place maybe looked a bit more posh ten years ago, but the rooms are tidy and a good size, the main areas are large and welcoming and the breakfast buffet is really great.
There are lots of spaces to sit and relax, around the pool being the best place.
My only complaint is around 5PM the pool bar opens and they start to play obnoxious music...
