I stayed here for one nigjt with my boyfriend when we were in town for a wedding. The hotel is not "ordinary", it has lots of stairs and separate buildi gs and is all connected by the pool area. I liked this a lot because it's unusual. The rooms are nice, clean, and overall pretty. They have parking and are close to downtown.

Nice hotel. Very clean. Large rooms. Lots of stairs. Valet parking. Quaint. Nice pool and garden area. Workers very friendly and helpful. One of the bellmen spoke English, so that was very nice. Thought we were within walking distance, .4-.6 m. Because the road is windy, so you have to take a cab, but they are cheap. Would stay again.

The lady at the front desk was rude and was smoking. Plumbing sounds scary when other rooms flush or shower. Management contacted me asking to delete the review I left on google places, I took away one more star.

As a foreigner living Mexico City, I was curious to know the 'city of the eternal spring' as they call Cuernavaca. Well, before speaking of the hotel, I must in three lines describe this city.
Cuernavaca is little town, very close to the capital, where many people have country houses in. They say it's touristic, but I couldn't see any other foreigner but me and my friends. The spring stuff is only about the weather. You won't find flowers everywhere.
So, the first thing that called my attention in Ilebal was the size of the hotel. It seems huge in the pictures they show in their website, but it's a small hotel. The swimming pool size was frustrating - it's only one and little.
Attention: they do not have a restaurant. But hotel is not far from city center where in can find many restaurants. You must walk up a little hill and in 10 minutes you are there. But avoid going there during the night: local people advised us it can be dangerous.
Rooms were spacious, but they do not have air conditioning. And Cuernavaca is warm.
Now, they offer rooms with 'Mountain View´. Mountain View? We chose this one and all that we could see was a little hill, with a dingy slummy house in front of our window! Apart, the internet not was not working there.
They say internert is available everywhere in the hotel, but in some rooms it does not work.
On the other hand, staff was quick and kind in changing us for other room.
Swimming pool view was much better, even with the hundred children playing and screaming up to 11pm in the pool, in a beautiful summer saturday night....
Oh! I must be fair to say that on Sundays, they bring you super nice breakfast in basket to your room. That was the best thing in this hotel.

The Ilebal is a lovely hotel with a pool, clean rooms, friendly staff. The only downfall or upfall, lol is the walk into the centre. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms was spotless and the gardens, pool area and courtyard was calming. I would definitely stay there again.
