Elegant Oceanside Hotel

I had a wonderful weekend stay at Hotel Illua. The facilities are adequate and the hotel staff communicated with me using excellent English. The view from my ocean facing room was gorgeous, and the room comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Illua and I hope to return again for a repeat visit.
Amazing view and luxury looking hotel

When I was walking up the slope to the hotel from the bus stop, I was thinking to myself "what kind of hotel is this far from the main street, and is on a slope?" but once I walked into the hotel, the marble staircase and roomy lobby area got me. It looked amazing! Very high class. Our bed was super soft, and the sheets didn't make too much noise (something most people don't notice until they sleep at night and the sheet makes too much noise and wakes you up).
The view was from the window was wonderful. We could see the bridge, haeundae beach, and the area surrounding. It was beautiful in both daytime and night time.
Right in front of the hotel is a hiking trail which is perfect for nature people. Bakery downstairs is reasonable price and the staff is very cute and friendly. You can also sit there and take pictures of the scenery.
It is a bit on the expensive side for me, over $125 (US dollars!) for 2 twin beds for one night during weekday off season. But this could be normal price for this area.
Nice View, Reasonable Price

This hotel is somewhat like 3-4 star rated hotel. Hotel facilities was good enough and their services were good as well.(house keeping, pick-up, free wifi ...)
Bakery with reasonable price serves nice foods and we could see beautiful scenery over the window. (around 1.5 USD)
One thing to improve was: most of staffs are barely speak English.
.
Tip: ocean view room is so nice. I strongly recommend you to reserve ocean view room.
Nice hotel in Busan

I've enjoyed my stay in Illua hotel. The rooms were clean and quite big. Staff barely speaks English, so it is very difficult to communicate with them on even the smallest matters. Me and my colleagues spent about half an hour at reception when we arrived, just because of the fact that the guy there didn't understand us AT ALL. Anything we said - he just kind of stared at us.
I also didn't like the breakfast there, but maybe that's just me :/
For the rest of it - the hotel is very nice, the view is stunning and I've enjoyed my stay there in general.
Enjoy!
P.S. The way cab drivers (who also speak no English by the way) pronounce the hotel's name is HILARIOUS :D haha
Beautiful Views, Big Hill, Amazing Bakery

I stayed at Hotel Illua for 4 nights in May. It wasn't as hard to find as everyone else has been saying. You just have to say the name correctly. It's located on the top of a hill and you can see all of Haeundae Beach. The restaurant was being renovated and there didn't seem to be a start and finish time. They were sawing metal and hammering as early as 7 AM. This is not the case in the states where they start at 9 AM so it doesn't disrupt the guests sleep. The bakery was amazing. So decadent and delish! I went every day, twice a day! The only other complaint I would have, and it's a very minor one is that the AC was disabled. We were finally told on day 2 that they turn off the in room PTACs until it is summer. Believe me when you are hiking up that hill and it's hot and humid and 78 degrees, some AC would be nice. Other than that...the rooms were beautiful and clean, same as the bathroom.
