Me and my girlfriend visited this hotel for 1 week for a relaxing holiday. When we arrived, from the outside it looks quite pleasant, however as soon as we entered the hotel our opinion completely changed!
The entire hotel is very dated. The room didn't have air con which makes sleeping very uncomfortable, particularly on the hotter nights! The room felt quite dirty with a very used carpet & unpleasant smell. The beds were also uncomfortable with a wool cover which is completely inappropriate!
The food was an absolute disgrace. We found ourselves wanting to eat out most nights - 4/7 nights, which is not what expect to do when you pay for an all inclusive holiday! If you don't like ham, cheese or bread, then throughout the day you will struggle to find something to eat as every day they are the only snacks offered, & occasionally the odd bit of left over pizza from lunch service.
Drinks. The liquor is like paint stripper. It burns when you drink it, again making the experience unpleasant. I had severe heart burn almost every day, putting me off drinking all together. The 'cocktails' are from a machine - tasting of pure sugar!
The area around the pool had a constant smell throughout the day & there was absolutely no entertainment! Every so often they would play some music but this would only send you to sleep! Similarly, the night entertainment is only aimed towards the elderly & Spanish. There is no effort to entertain the younger guests, and we found ourselves discussing this with many other young couples!
Rude and unhelpful staff. The catering staff only seemed to try and hurry you up when having your meals & reception staff are useless! We found ourselves asking the tour rep things about the hotel which is just ridiculous!
The hotel seems to just want to take your money at every opportunity! They didn't have an iron to rent out to any rooms forcing guests to buy an iron & an ironing board from their attached off licence.
No wifi available in the room - again forcing you to pay extra if you wish to have this. A free wifi area is available in the lounge but it is the worst connection ever!
The area that the hotel is located in is quiet throughout the week & busy on the weekend. It is about a 4 euro taxi to the centre where the scenery is beautiful & more things to do! It is about 1 and a half hour drive to las Americas where there is more activities - Siam park etc, costing roughly 140 euros in a taxi & a shuttle bus runs throughout the day but stops at 6pm!
Overall bad experience in the hotel and wouldn't recommend to stay here, but like any thing, it's what you make of it that counts!!
Siam water park was our favourite day & Brunelli's steak house was unreal with a great dining experience!

My daughter and myself stayed here for four nights at beginning of June. The room was adequate with a good powerful shower and the rooms were clean. The food was ok, fruit, croissants and cooked items for breakfast. Lunch and dinner was ok for us, we liked salads so always plenty to choose from, meat was a bit hit and miss and if we had to stay for longer than four days would have struggled to eat there every day. Entertainment was clearly aimed at the over 60s but this didnt bother us as we walked down into the centre where there was plenty going on. Walk back is a bit hard as lots of steps but we didnt mind this.
I have to agree with other comments, animation girl was very friendly but couldnt say the same of bar staff and waiters .... lacking in friendliness.
We enjoyed our break but dont think we would return.
One over another, almost pleased

Despite the opinions previously expressed by other tourists, I would say that, in my opinion, the hotel, even if it does not offer similar conditions to a four-star hotel, can not be said to be classified as two, but rather three. It is true that there is much to be done to return to a four-star rating, such as changing the carpet, TVs, the introduction of double matrimonial beds, etc.
The cleanliness is satisfying, it is done daily in the rooms. The food, in the morning and in the evening (just that I had it), the Swedish buffet style, is varied and for the unpretentious, as I am, it is enough. I do not think anyone can complain that he has nothing to eat.
At least during the time I was staying there, in the hotel and in the city there was a huge abundance of people over sixty, I think it is a resort dedicated to them. A less pleasant, disturbing aspect was that at the evening meal waiters were more concerned about the length of the men's trousers at the entrance to the dining room, than to wash the dishes, which was often washed badly. Honestly, I really do not understand and do not see what role the length of the men's trousers is at the entrance to the dining room at dinner time (and where?, in an ocean-going resort) in increasing the quality of the hotel's services. It would be better to put the waiters to wash the dishes than to put them to measure the length of men's trousers, that could even add to attracting tourists. I think people do not come to the fashion parade, they come on vacation, they want to feel relaxed, not to walk in the frack, even at the evening meal.
In the evening there is no possibility of having fun in the hotel. Evenings can be spent at a bar in the hotel over the road or one of the most pleasant places we have identified closest to the hotel was the Intermezzo bar located on Calle Haya, a few steps away where live music is being danced every night. I recommend this place with pleasure, you will not regret it.
5* are for the Chef's, Waiting Staff & Housekeeping/cleaners 1st Class.

We stayed 22-31 May, room 456, A Huge Family room with balcony, Sea View, separate room , with in our room for our 13yr old which had a fantastic view of the Sea, Pool, Palm trees and mountains. There was a fridge & we take a travel kettle. I dont understand some comments on here because the cleaning staff were amazing, ( I run a B & B and believe me returning to the room was a treat, very clean and a constant supply of fresh towels. The Bed was amazing probably 7foot.
The Hotel is a bit tired in places and its very big but very clean and 4* is a 3* here, but hay what do you expect for £ 400 all inclusive for a week!
The Chef's produce an amazing amount of food everyday, and between the 5 of us ranging in age from 13 to 78 we must have tried everything & it was superb, If you can't find something nice to eat here then you have a problem. The waiting Staff especially the Senior Gents are just so lovely and the whole thing runs like clockwork.
The pool bar is self serve, spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks, cocktail Machine & hot drinks. Dont make a mess though as the girl there has ocd LOL.
The Pool is cool and although large for a May holiday would be very busy high season, No piano bar or other bar in May, entertainment was down stairs and the bar is sunken ( Not Nice & the room has no character) go over to the sister Hotel Bonanza which is much nicer. Don't miss The Granchos show, fantastic!.
We had to use the doctor for my son and the appointment/walk in was £ 65 + £ 20 for Antibiotics from the farmacia, which is down the rd past the super market.
Puerto Cruz is nice, head to the water front & Pomodoro Restaurant down stairs with stunning sea view. Lunch & 1.5 lt wine for 5 £ 60!
Don't miss Loro Parque it's fab, we were so close to a Whale & Dolphins, amazing and worth the money, £ 35 & You can have another trip in for £ 13.50 do a joint ticket with the Water park and save as well.
Next must is Teide, go up the Volcano on a cable car its £ 27.50 but the view is amazing and the trip up through the national park is fantastic, Hire a car and do it yourself so you can stop, there's so much to see, car hire is cheap.
Santa Cruz was Industrial and a disapointment.
I booked WIFI but didn't get it in the room.
Next to the Bonanza is a great bar with live music which is great.
Not a lot for Kids to do at the Hotel and quite a walk to Puerto Cruz, locals are all very friendly, learn a few words in Spanish it goes a long way! and smile you are on holiday :)
