This is a supposedly 4 star hotel - in reality, perhaps scraping 3.
There is no a la carte restaurant, only buffet. We didn't try it in the evening but the breakfast was dire - classic congealed eggs.
The pool is not heated (necessary at the end of September) and the pool area was a moth-eaten lawn - lots of bare patches and weeds.
The "resort" is essentially Spanish - nice people but a bit down market.

We stayed here for 6 days at the end of August, as part of our recent Spanish trip. We had a standard room which was a little on the small side. The food was the usual Spanish buffet, good seafood, although the meat dishes were not as good. The deserts were not very exciting.
The service was courteous and helpful. It is classed as a 4 star hotel, not sure about that!
It is near the nice beach, where you will find a few cafes and restaurants. Benicasim is a pleasant little resort. Parking is free.

We chose to go northwards to celebrate our double anniversaries. 14 yrs of living in Spain & our 47th wedding anniversary. We visited Benicassim for the day several years ago and said that we would like to go back and explore more

Stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The location is nice and quiet, very close to the beach and touristic amusements. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is a bit old fashioned and could with some refurbishment. I think it is a bit expensive for what you get, as I paid 165 eur a night b&b for 2 people and a small dog. The bathroom is too old and the room only has one socket. The reception area is a bit smelly, due to the restaurant being very close by. Breakfast is average-low and lunch is bearly eatable, due to tasteless, non- fresh food served.

It's a perfect (fairly quiet) hotel. Breakfast is included and is good. The pool area is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has quite an old traditional decor, but is incredibly clean.
Benicassim itself is a small traditional Spanish seaside resort and the Hotel is a short bus ride to the main old town, however there are lots of restaurants along the beach front. It's handy for the Fib music festival as its about 25mins walk, although there are Fib buses on the sea front that take you through the old town and directly to the site. Perfect place to recover after partying into the early hours. Note that room prices are at a high premium during Fib as it does sell out.
