Our room was comfortable, I had asked for a double bed, not two singles pushed together but sadly did not get this. I did not like the door to the bathroom as it was just obscured glass, with a good 1/2 inch gap all the way around - not ideal sound wise or visually!
Breakfast was very good, with a large range of items.
Housekeeping was a little hit and miss, tea making facilities rarely topped up - it has to be said, that these are tea only making facilities, you are not given coffee (even instant) and strangely, you are not given milk (even long life)! When I questioned this they told me I had to get milk from the bar???
What I did find most unusual was the fact that they will not give you an iron and ironing board, or indeed a laundry room where you may iron your crushed and well traveled clothes. Upon complaint, I was told that they do not offer this service and if I wanted clothes ironed, I would have to pay for housekeeping to do that - now 12 days clothes for two people, that would work out very expensive, so I persevered and was eventually given an iron, which I had to use on the table on the room as they wouldn't give me a ironing board???
Most of the above must sound negative, it is, but we were disappointed and surprised at this lack of a basic service.
However, overall the hotel is very nice. It's quiet, with a lovely lounge to sit in, watch tv, read etc, most relaxing.
TV in room has no English speaking channels to speak of - which we found strange given that during our stay, we reckon around 50% of the guests were indeed English!
The pool is nice, empty most of the time, which we liked, lots of tall trees around it, which is good for shade, but not so good if you want to find a sunny spot.
The hotel is around a 5 minute drive from the most spectacular beach, which was a joy to walk along particularly at low tide, you could walk for a hour in either direction and still not see the end of the beach - bliss. Lots of restaurants and tiki bars on the beach too :-)
Five minutes in the other direction was the small town of Ayamonte, what a lovely place to visit for dinner in the evenings, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops open till late, except on Sunday evenings.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and in this region, would we stay again, YES! But we'd insist on a double bed next time.
If you want a relaxing stay, get a car, explore and enjoy the region, we did :-)

We stopped at the Hotel Isla Canela Golf for a drink and lunch. The hotel is situated on the golf course and a lovely setting.
The service was good but the food shocking. We ordered the sandwich of tuna, egg, and salads, and chips. When it arrived, there were two pieces of dry toasted sliced bread (I think it was left over from the day before) with no butter/margarine on it. The filling was one slice of tomato, some green salad leaves and a few bits of corn - all covered in a mayonnaise. No sign of tuna or egg! The chips were fine. A most disappointing lunch time snack at, what appeared to be, a very nice hotel.

Really happy there-very relaxing, pool clean and plenty of seating, could have stayed a week"!
We had a very good room, very comfortable-ONE THING to fault-no English TV stations
otherwise perfect. We will be visiting again

Situated between Ayamonte town ( well worth a visit) and the several miles of unspoiled beach sits the Hotel and a good golf course.The staff are helpful and the rooms are spotlessly clean and bathrooms too.One slight snag was that the kitchen staff couldn't supply us with even a snack having arrived at 21 00 hrs to take up my reservation. The pool offers respite if you are after daytime relaxation.

We had a fine stay. Good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Nice golf course with many challenges. Very good greens. Nearby Ayamonte town nice place to visit. Also beautiful beaches a few kms from the hotel.
