What People are saying

receptionist was not that friendly and welcoming towards me

abe1002016on 17/11/2017 12:39

I stayed in this restaurant as part of a group of educational tourist. we stayed here from 31st Oct to 4th November. I must say that the breakfast was excellent and the waitress and the waiter in the restaurant during breakfast were welcoming and friendly even though we were not from Italy because were from England. The room facilities were adequate for a three star hotel. I think the hotel needs to have dental care in the room.
Lastly on our final day l had gone to the reception to leave my luggage because we had to leave the room by 11am even though our flight was in the evening to put my luggage in the store room but honestly this receptionist a male on had stem face on him as if to say we were distrubing him . when l spoke to when later he also said he received the same attitude from the receptionist the night before. I will like to write that once they advertise this hotel it will not BE ONLY ITALIANS WHO WILL STAY THERE BUT PEOPLE FROM FAR AND NEAR so the early management speaks to him the better.

We drew the short straw - bad experience

wengenboundon 14/11/2017 22:38

We drew the short straw with our room allocation
We were on a small group tour with Back Roads and knew by now that tours are always allocated the worst rooms in the hotel. It wasn't that this is a terrible hotel or there was a problem with the staff, it was just our lousy room which was possibly the worst this hotel has. We were supposed to be housed on the expensive tour in 'boutique' hotels. This hotel was a late substitute and located about 20 minutes walk from town. It was a madhouse morning and night and at breakfast due to all the well known large bus tours lodging at this hotel. The shower fixture was broken meaning that we had to shower with one hand while holding the shower head up the pole with the other hand. The toilet refused to flush and I spent 15 minutes fiddling with the cistern to get it to flush. Bur our main issue was the stale air in the room. In 35 years of travel we have never experienced such poor air in our lives, even in Beijing. I have no respiratory problems but was struggling to breathe. My wife was becoming distressed. So we turned the air con on and a cloud of dust flew into the room. After a couple of hours we turned the air con off as it neither lowered the temperature or improved the air quality. We then opened the window and got relief but were kept awake from traffic noise Within days of staying here my wife was seriously ill with bacterial pneumonia, doctors thought from air con.

Nice Hotel in Verona.

We arrived late in Verona and found Hotel Italia and were fortunate to find an available room for the night. The staff were accommodating and helpful and the hotel had free WiFi. The room was a good size with private facilities with a personal safe. My only complaints were the bed was hard and as it was a very warm night and the air conditioning system was inadequate for the room and in essence blew hot air. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of delicious food to choose from both hot or traditional Italian fare.

Lovely stay in Verona

stayed here for one evening on our way to Venice. Such a lovely and quaint hotel; breakfast was great; lovely room with lots of room for 4 people. Beautiful patio area at the top of the stairs. Staff was friendly. Only drawback was that it was a little far from the centre of Verona but overall it was a great experience. I would recommend staying there.

Good option in Verona

15 minutes walk from the city center, the hotel is pretty modern and well-run. Our room was pretty small, but had a good air conditioner and English, French and German channels on the TV. The breakfast room was spacious, however pretty busy in the morning and hard to navigate between the tables. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Definitely good value for the money.
