Old fashion hotel

I spent 2 nights during my business trip to spa Karlovy Vary. Hotel is located in the quiet street in half of hill above the spa neigbourhood. Walk distance to spa is 15 min and to the city centre 40 min. Bus stop is nearby. Parking in the courtyard is limited. You can park on the street, but its limited too.Hotel rooms was spacious clean but old fashion. Especially bathroom. Staff was OK. Breakfest was poor. No hotel standard. Like budget accomodation
Nice and quiet hotel not far from the city

Hotel Jadran is located at the secondary road from Karlovy Vary to Becherov. A city bus and some traffic passes every so now and then, but it is not too loud; we even slept every nite with all windows wide open. The room is well equipped with a load of closets and surprisingly a water cooker. The views are stunning since you'll enjoy them lying from your bed; see the photos for evidence. Last special remark: the location of the hotel gives you a feel away from the city, but, because of a wicked short cut by feet it is only 8 minutes down town and back home 10 to 15 minutes, depending of your own state.
nice clean rooms for families

We only stayed for a few days and did not get to use their Spa. We were told the Spa is equipped with doctors that treat certain diseases the Spa is famous for. It all seemed very sombre and uninviting to us and we decided to do that somewhere else and just use the rooms. The rooms were clean but not bathtub, just showers. The personal was not friendly and neither were they anywhere else in Karlovy Vary. It felt a little bit like being in Moscow, priced reasonably though.
Two major problems
TrinketTravels on 25/04/2014 20:27
It might be a nice hotel but two major problems over ride any positives. One: location. We had read it was a walk to town. It is a 10 minute heart-pumping, muscle challenging hike up, up and down, down- and we are quite fit. Every outing means this major hike up and down to get to town and then steep up and down to return. Problem two: Sheets. The bottom bedsheet is a rough terry cloth. Why? We tried to turn it over but still rough. Every time I turned over the roughness woke me. Is this part of the austere spa/sanitorium atheistic? And who complains about the sheets?
Nice small hotel in a very smart smallish spa town
FulstowBob on 31/07/2013 12:05
Smallish hotel but with a very nice good sized smart bedroom, fridge, kettle (but had to ask for tea / coffee). Free wifi. Good location on the hillside with small car park for only 4 cars above town (20 mins walk into centre) but right on the bus route (every 15mins) so . Breakfast adequate. All in all very good value!
