Misleading Be Aware!!!

We booked through Booking.com and paid a very cheap rate for Apartmentos Varios. We knew we would not be staying at Jeremias but the only photos of outside area are of Hotel Jeremias. Having a booking for terrace/balcony we assumed we would be able to sit on it outsde its too small...!!! the price reflects the booking and the location for beach is great but don't be under any allusions ....ooh and the shower leaked all over the floor and you cannot hire towels as it says on booking.

BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING

We made a booking on a well known website (Logitravel) for a beach apartment on Cargador Beach in the town of Alcossebre for a weekend. We were looking forward to the last weekend on the beach before school term started. The apartment was one of a selection. We were told to pick up the keys at the hotel Jeremias, right on the sea front. We rang the hotel beforehand to check the exact location of the apartment. We were told that they couldn't give us the exact location, but that all of the apartments were very good.
At the hotel they gave us the keys and a map. Then our adventure started, as the hotel was not on the sea front at all, but 4,7km away from the hotel, up a winding road on the top of a hill. Thank goodness that we had a GPS or it would have been impossible to find it.
Not only was the distance from the beach ridiculous, the inside of the apartment left a lot to be desired. The curtain was on the floor, the blind wouldn't go up and down without forcing it, the remote control for the TV had no batteries, one of the bedrooms had no lights, there were no towels, some of the beds weren't made up, some of the tiles were hanging off the walls, cigarette burns on the sofa...
When we rang the hotel for them to rectify our problems, we were told that they couldn't send anyone--- because it was so far away! They said we would have to wait until the next day for them to send around someone from maintenance. As this was a weekend break, this meant that half of our weekend was spent with these problems. In the end, we told them not to bother sending anyone because it would have meant staying in and waiting for someone to call.
On the door of the hotel, there was a paper indicating the escape routes in case of a fire, and telling us not to use the lift... What a joke! There was no lift in the building and we were three floors up, so anyone with any sort of disability would be strongly advised to stay away from these apartments.
All we wanted was a weekend by the beach, so we went back to the hotel to politely ask for our money back or a different apartment, but they refused. They offered us a room in the hotel for the cost fo 120 Euros more, but that was ridiculous as the room was just not worth it. They explained that this was like a roulette. Some people got good apartments, others had worse luck! We were obviously the unlucky ones!
We also complained to the website, to no avail. Nobody was prepared to solve our problem.
When we went to hand in the keys on Sunday morning, we were not surprised to hear another lady strongly complain because of similar treatment. Both of us have handed in "Hojas de Reclamaciones" (complaint forms) to our Consumer offices in Spain and complained about deceitful advertising.
The website has since taken down its offer for these apartments, but I would warn anyone against making a booking without fully checking what they are letting themselves in for. We had to spend our beach weekend halfway up a mountain and miles away from the beach and the town. It would have been far better to stay at home, and we are out of pocket because of the experience. What a rip off!

Terrible hotel, price vs quality is ZERO. My wife a I staied one night, paid 169 euros plus 8 euros parking. Hotel is old, old furniture, rooms small with bed 135cm and thin mattress, one night stand with no small lamp. One lamp on the wall for lighting the room. Closet door is painted white plywood and inside is unfinished. Space to enter the bathroom is about 45cm wide because the door can only be opened part way and the sink is right next to the door. The 10inch analog TV had a distorted picture. You pay for the room at checkin. No wifi in the room only in the lobby area.
