What People are saying
Small, very good value, not perfect but can't complain at the price

As many people have said, the rooms are small. If you have a big suitcase, probably it will feel crowded. I was lucky enough to have Samantha, who is charming and helpful, as the receptionist when I arrived. She managed to move me into a slightly larger room after one night - thank you Samantha!
The location is great and very convenient, literally a few minutes walk to Raffles City. The beds are comfortable and everything works fine. The air-con is fixed at minimum 21 degrees C, which means that the room will not get instantly cold when you walk in. But it will certainly be cold after 5 minutes. The walls can be a bit thin so you can hear your neighbours watching TV - however a simple pair of earplugs from Guardian pharmacy solved that problem.
The breakfast is OK but not great. However, at the price, overall the rating is definitely 5 stars.
Small, clean and comfy

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Kai for 3 nights. It was perfect for us as it was in a great location - you could walk to lots of places or use the tube.
We shared a bunk room, it was very small but we managed to keep it tidy and it was very comfortable and clean.
The wifi worked really well.
The staff were so friendly and really helpful they gave us a map and showed us he Hotel in relation to popular tourist destinations which was helpful.
In all, this place was perfect for a cheap, clean and comfy place to stay for a few nights, as it is such a big city with so much to do it's perfect just to use as a place to sleep and keep all of your stuff!
Small. Very small. But clean, cool, and cheap

I booked this hotel for a conference visit and as the Fairmont was way out of the charts pricewise... its located just one block behind the Raffles, so really good area. The rooms for the tripadvisor price are more than tiny - I had to leave my second piece of luggage in the storage and even with one piece i could either open the door or sit on the (foldable) desk.
But the rooms are clean and functional - if you plan to only sleep, then this is great value for money.
The guys at the reception/bar/restaurant are super nice and helpful by the way. Would definitely book again

I have left Hotel Industry in 2014 and since then, I stay in non 5-star hotels during holiday as there is no more employee rate benefit.
This time, I went to Singapore to meet my Good Friend who needs to do medical treatment. The plan was quite sudden and I searched for a hotel near Bugis area and decided to stay at Hotel Kai due to recommendation rate is positive.
Surprisingly, the quality of facility and the service level of its employee were satisfactory.
The room was yes small but I was not shocking because the size was explained in the web, so the guest can imagine already before choosing the room. Even though it was small, but the facilities were all good. The bed was comfortable and can be reclined some more, glass cabinet was spacious, bathroom was comfortable and had a good shower.
The breakfast was another thing I enjoyed as they really put their though in providing them. From bread to fruit. From Hot food to juices.
And on top of those, the staffs were warm and welcoming. The guy (with Chinese look) on Morning 11-12 May was truly five-star employee, he paid attention to us, changing and clearing china wares effectively, without making noise, offered help and keep moving to ensure everyone were attended.
There was a Guy with glasses at the Front Desk who was also five-star quality. He was warm and friendly all the time, helpful and attentive (I have returned the umbrella.... :)
Thanks Hotel Kai and I will definitely come back when I travel to Singapore again.
Cozy & relaxing stay

I had a double-decker room. Room was small, but everything was arranged properly & it had almost all the amenities needed from even a floor mat to Bluetooth speakers & hair dryers. One additional perks is that they have used quite an amount of technologies e.g. mirror with digital clocks & light embeded inside, adjustable beds (for watching tv) and even a tv with its own OS, but unfortunately it wasn't functional for us
Bathroom is not 100% covered, your feet is visible and top part of the glass door is also not covered, might not be appealing for certain travelers, but overall still good for me
Breakfast was simple, but fulfilling as well with cereal, pancakes, toast & some tidbits. They also has variety of drinks, coffee, tea, juices, yogurt and milk
