Kempton Hotel is situated at Marquis St. in Kolkata and its close to new market and park street area. This hotel is a popular choice by huge nos of Bangladeshi specially those who are going to kolkata for shopping.
The hotel is so so.The bathroom of this hotel is so small. breakfast is not bad.

The Kempton Hotel is a lovely oasis in the middle of a warn part of Kolkata. The best part is the experience was the staff as we were greeted warmly with each interaction and they tended to us beautifully. The room was comfortable and clean. The morning breakfast was very nice too! All in all a very good experience.
Ps - we were a bit concerned about some of the reviews prior to our visit but they did not apply to our experience.

Stayed here on the first week of November. The hotel is overpriced for its area and the staff members, specially the ones in the reception just never learnt how to behave. No basic manners at all. Severely disappointing.

The hotel is located on a busy street and all-around tourist friendly zone. The breakfast was good but still, there are some drawbacks like the bed covers and pillow covers are too old and should through them soon. ALso, the price is extremely overpriced compared to facilities.

We stayed at the Kempton Hotel for the second time. My in-laws loved the hotel. Their staff are very friendly and helpful specially when you are travelling with a child, this comes as a big plus. Their location is superb. Just in the middle of new market and park street. The hotel's restaurant, Lotus restaurant, serves some really yummy and fresh dishes. That's a must try place to eat.
The only reason for four stars is their rooms need some maintenance. For example, the doors of rooms don't close by themselves. They half close and then start beeping. This was annoying. Although the hotel and their staff are very secure, you need to pay some attention in room cards. I believe the cards can be used to open any doors. I request the authority to have a look.
