Overall OK, with some minus points

Good bed.
Excellent breakfast with good choice of bread, ham, cheese, jam, english breakfast, etc...
A pity that the hotel does not have a lobby.
Price quality is OK for a 3 star hotel.
I didn't try the restaurant.
Pleasant short stay
roeboyon 06/11/2017 15:43My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by this charming little hotel which we stayed at for 3 nights while visiting family in the area. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom modern with a powerful shower.
Downstairs there was a cosy bar adjoining the hotel restaurant. Out back was a well presented sun room which opened out onto the extensive patio and lawns of the property. It is here we enjoyed an excellent breakfast each morning of our stay.
The surrounding area in general is residential and thus there are not many hotel options and thus competition for prospective tourists to consider as an alternative. That said I feel confident in saying that this hotel was the best option available to us and if visiting family in the future we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Needs to be found in such a small town
Paul Jon 08/08/2017 00:38This restaurant is located in the suburbs of Antwerp. Not easy to find but worth to look for. Typical fine Belgian cuisine offering fresh local ingredients as well as seafood and meat. Any taste and preference can be found on the menu . Nice presentation of the plates.
Very service. Large outside seating for lunch, dinner or parties in the summer mainly as the weather in Belgium can be miserable.
Ongoing Construction
Paul Son 28/07/2017 11:47After a six hour overnight flight from the States to Amsterdam and a two hour drive to Brasschat, we checked into the hotel wanting only a nap. The rooms immediately adjacent was being renovated and jackhammers made any rest impossible. They continued even on Belgium's national holiday and the following Saturday. Not pleasant.
At the end of our stay, we tried to check out late the night before in order to make a 7AM train to Paris. The owner wouldn't allow us to check out then and insisted we could do it in the morning. Needless to say, no one was available for the next day early morning checkout. We left contact info and got our train. Maybe language difficulties, maybe misunderstandings.
The owner, Elizabeth (sorry, not the Belgian spelling) worked incredibly hard in the dining room and elsewhere but the strain of work showed in her unhappy attitude and disposition. She didn't seem to have an innkeeper's mind set.
The room was clean, comfortable, large and well equipped although without A/C and winter comforters on the bed. The price was reasonable. The restaurant food was average, although the wine was quite good.
There's a playground, trampoline and bouncy house in the rear for the kids. Also a nice outdoor terrace and gardens.
A good value and probably a wonderful stay without construction and a bit more wait staff.

gginckelson 10/07/2017 08:27A summer afternoon on the terras, play yard for the kids, clean and excellent service - very dedicated, professional and authentic. Staff permanently observes the clients and anticipates promptly. Friendly and correctly timed service. Excellent food, creative menu with many new ways of food offerings. We will be back.
