I stayed for two nights and didn't have any problem. It's nice hotel, with very kind staff. Really close to the lake, castle... Clean and comfortable room. Breakfest is great! Terrace and swimming pool has an amazing view!

We went for a short 3 night stay on a half board basis to Lake Bled and enjoyed our stay at Hotel Kompass.
Throughout our stay the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They gave us ample information regarding various places to visit. I had forgotten my phone charger and the person at reception searched every drawer to find me one. The breakfast and dinner were on a buffet basis. The food was wholesome, enjoyable and a lot of variety. The hotel prides itself on making home made preserves, yogurt, butter etc. The food at dinner time was equally delicious.
It rained one of the days and we were able to borrow umbrellas from them.
It has a lovely swimming pool situated under glass and a basic gymnasium.
The only downside was the carpet in our room which had past its best. I believe they are redecorating a lot of the bedrooms.
On the whole a very enjoyable stay and would visit again.

It was a short walk to the lake and shopping, restaurants, etc. No way I'd call it a 4* as the AC wouldn't work despite being 'fixed' twice. No portable fan was available, all had been requested by others, so it was to warm. No coffee maker was available either, also all in use by other rooms. A robe and slippers don't make a place 4*, though they were a nice touch. The breakfast was very nice.

We stayed here for 4 nights and we enjoyed our stay very much. The parking was full on arrival but we were very lucky to find the last place.
The breakfast and lunch were very fine and delicious.
There is no kettle in the room but we asked for it and it was delivered in 10 minutes at around 6 am!
The view from our room was very beautiful.

In a great spot, a nice mid range European hotel.Good size ,well equipped and very clean rooms, even better if you ask for a kettle! The extra for a lake view room was well worth it. Great breakfast and a good buffet evening meal.It was quiet in October, but even so it was odd not to have a bar.Nice staff and vert helpful, but they are very busy, so don't expect too many cheery greetings.
