We chose this hotel because of the ratings on Trip Advisor and the photos showing beautiful, updated rooms, and the location. The location is within walking distance to most things we wanted to see in Vienna so from that standpoint it was good. But...our room was tired and dated. The location on a busy street corner with trams and buses passing on both streets all night and day meant there was constant noise. Their wifi policy is to automatically disconnect guests every 15 minutes after nonuse. I can't tell you how tired I became after four days of repeatedly typing a username and password every 15 minutes either into my smart phone or tablet. In three weeks of travelling to six countries this was the only hotel with this policy. Also, please be aware that you may pay upon checkout only during certain hours. If you have an early departure you will need to make advance arrangements to settle your bill.

Hotel Kugel is a charming hotel located near the Mariahilfer Strasse shopping area, the MuseumsQuartier and the Stephansdom. The service is excellent: When our TV broke down a new was immediately installed. We also very much appreciated the breakfast tray we received the night before our departure the next day because we had to leave very early in the morning to catch our flight home. We really appreciate such service and would like to say there another time.

My sister and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Kugel. The staff was always friendly and accommodating, greeting us with a smile every time we went downstairs and giving us helpful information about the city and transit system. Our room was spacious and bright, with an en suite bathroom, mini fridge, and a tea/coffee bar. Breakfast was amazing with a vast variety to choose from every morning. The guests were also very friendly and greeted us every morning, as well. The hotel is centrally located on a quiet street, with public transportation just outside the door. This was our first time to Vienna; we had so much fun. It is an excellent city. We will definitely return, and we will definitely stay at Hotel Kugel again.

Very welcoming & helpful reception staff.
Nice rooms with beautiful old style decor, a bit dated but still very enjoyable.
Good breakfast and good location for easy reach to central location.
The only downsize is that the building is located on a junction corner with a tram line which might disturb your sleep a little.

We stayed at Hotel Kugel September 2017. The hotel is a historic building close to the Museum Quarter. It has been beautifully restored and our room was large, well appointed and quiet. It is very clean and comfortable.
The staff is first rate and very accommodating. Christina made us feel welcome from the very first. She met us at the door and greeted us by name. She was very attentive to our needs during the entire visit. The rest of the staff was also great and the breakfast had everything you needed to start your day.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Vienna.
