Nice hotel but not worth the daily rate
JoaoOliveira2014on 03/08/2017 09:56I was kind of disappointed with the hotel. When I did the booking, and considering the charged value, I was expecting much more from this hotel.
It is in need of a major reform, inside and surroundings.
The room I stayed in was huge, but not as clean as it should be.
I had dinner at the restaurant and it lacks good choices in the menu. Ended up having dinner in close by restaurants for the rest of the week.
Some of the staff is very friendly, but other don't even lift their head to say hi when you pass.
Wifi is so bad in the hotel. Sometimes I would have to raise my phone just to search for a better connection spot. For the offered speed, might as well not even offer this service.
What I enjoyed in this hotel was the pool (considering it was very hot that week) and the pool staff is very friendly.
Overall, the hotel is nice, but could have some work done in renovations, better cleaning, more friendly staff and better food choices, considering what is charged for a daily rate.

Gaby Eon 27/09/2016 09:36This quiet hotel is snugly located between a high end shopping center and an industrial park. We booked this hotel only due to the proximity to an event that was being held close by. It is unfortunately extremely outdated, and is in dire need of a renovation. I can imagine it was once beautiful but now it is a mere shadow of what "was". The ceilings are stained, the furniture is torn, the light switches are yellowed, the painting on the wall is chipped. The suite we booked was surprisingly very large (80 square meters) with a kitchenette (albeit no plates or cooking utensils), dining room/living room area seperated from the bedroom, It had huge storage facilities and an ample restroom seperate from the toilet with nice toilettries. There was also a large desk meant to be the work area. The Internet is extremely slow and varies throughout the hotel.
The staff in the reception as we arrived in the evening (Ana) was very ambivalent and not professional at all. I find this Hotel overpriced and more a 3 star Hotel. Although "fully booked" it was completely deserted most of the day. After enquiring I found out that this is due to the fact that it is meant for longer stays for executives that work in the industrial area. The costs are subsidized by the companies, hence the high cost per night.
The large (empty) pool was the best part of the Hotel, with a lifeguard on duty the whole day. It is located next to the Cafeteria and Lounge area where you can order drinks or a bite to eat. I have no comments about the food on site.
Warning: Metro or public Transport is seldom. Closer to Airport than to the City Center. A car rental would be the best. Absolutely no Tourist activities closeby other than the movies in the shopping center or the golf green, but I am not sure if non members can access it. Downtown Spain is about a 30 Minute drive during off peak times.
Tip: parking in the Madrid city center during the weekends in the summer is for FREE!
Think twice about staying in La Moraleja Hotel, especially if you have children.
Huge room but a bit old

It had a living room with a small ktichen and balcony.
The room needs a litle make up since it's a bit hold. The breakfast is nice but it could have more diversity.
Huge rooms. Flaky wifi.
Phil Son 02/06/2016 06:50Each room is like a small apartment, with many lights. Staff are helpful and the location is handy for Moraleja Plaza. Wifi only works in certain parts of the room/hotel. It's seen better days but reasonable value if you get a deal.
