Oh...no...

Hotel La Tour is like a motel. There are an old furniture, old bed and old dirty bathroom. But it was quite close to my work place so I stayed here for one week. Also there is a poor variety of breakfast.
Could be better

We stayed three nights, the hotel is dated but comfortable, and location for us was ideal.
That being said a couple of issues
A) being woken in the morning by the cleaning staff at 8am knocking on the door to clean the room
B) having said come back later and then going out and one occasion telling them that we are going out to come back and find the room not cleaned, only garbage bins emptied
C) asking for assistance with the front desk for some one to send bed linen after day two to be told - I am the only one here and I will be fired if I leave the desk.
This really didn't sit right as you can imagine. No good bye when we checked out
Overall a shame - wasn't expecting much but what we got was just not up to basic
Tiny beds, noisy, old

If you like to have a room with a door directly to the street, like tiny beds and old-ish interiors, this is for you. A gas station is next to the hotel. The cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved.
Stuck in the 70s, interesting step back in time...

It was booked at the last minute and quite close to my place of business, but not sure I'd recommend it for business travel.
The main building feels like a converted school in its design (even down to the piano in the corner and cloak room near the entrance), but is clean and pleasant enough. Check-in was quite quick and effective, they had all my details ready and also were willing to book me a taxi. Its locale is opposite a bus stop and it's only a short trip into town.
The bedrooms are a motel-style building to the side, with a decor that looked like they were left in the 70s (think Rockford files). The ageing CRT TV picked up various different programmes, some of which were dubbed English/American series as well as national channels, so there was always something to watch. Wifi extends out into the rooms okay but speeds were quite slow (512K). Although clean enough, the room felt a bit shabby and outdated - the bathroom was a walk-in wet room with a sink that gurgled late at night and no soundproofing to reduce the noisy parking out front. Given this was august I found the room pretty hot - but not too sure what it'd be like in winter!
Breakfast was a cold continental affair, help yourself to the meats and cheeses, which was sufficient for a morning bite. Not sure what it would be like in winter.
Although they did evening meals on the first night, I found they didn't cook friday night so ended up eating from the garage next door
I heard from one of the locals that it's not been updated for some time as it's recently changed hands and there are plans to pull it down to replace it with something much more modern. There was certainly a feeling of resignment about the place, as though looking at making any improvements would be futile.
Ok

Stayed here for 4 nights, was booked through work so can't comment on price. Used hotel as a Base whilst working in the centre of town, only 10 mins away. The room was a little dated but was clean, bed comfortable and plenty of space. Staff all freindly, breakfast wasn't spectacular but had enough choice. Free WiFi that I never had any problems with. I would not have a problem staying here again.
