Stayed two nights, overall was a nice stay.
Pros -great rooftop infinity pool with hot tub.
- Helpful and friendly staff
-excellent service
- Good breakfast for around 8 CAD additional per person
- Good WiFi
- comfortable beds
- sea view room had a nice balcony
Cons -
- Had to get our key reset every day
- You can’t take towels away from the pool area
- Limited loungers at infinity pool
- hotel was clean, but still for some reason lacks a luxury feel
- restaurants within hotel a little expensive

staff lock of certain knowledge when asked by customer compared to other Hotels, besides that no complaints, guys at the beach not very helpful, breakfast menu was very decent. I would recommend it to a family person, not to couples. that's my opinion

I was at this property just a couple of weeks ago for a wedding. The wedding party picked the location, otherwise I would not have stayed here as it was my first visit to Cartagena, and would have preferred to stay closer to old town. Having said that, the hotel was very nice - nice clean rooms, lots of pools, right on the beach, several bars and good food, and minutes from the airport. They have an adult only rooftop pool and bar, and the hotel can arrange for shuttles anywhere you want to go, including tours into town or excursions. The hotel offers all the modern conveniences, and it is very reasonably priced. And, the added surprise was the wildlife that would visit us each morning at the breakfast buffet - iguanas and parrots. I found the staff very helpful and eager to assist despite language barriers - if you stay here, it will help to have some knowledge of Spanish. If you want to get away to unwind, but occasionally make a trip into town or venture out to explore, this will do just fine.

Right of the bat, the front desk woman seemed as if she was doing us a favor, when we ask her for a room with an ocean view, at "Torre del Mar", since the room she gave us faced the road construction with the sweet sound of a water pump engine 24/7, this attitude is a general constant across all staff members at this hotel, by the looks of the hotel one will think they have a professional approach to guest, reality is "Don't ask for anything" either you won't get it or you'll get a smart a-- comment from the staff with no resolution. Torre del Mar has a breakfast buffet included on our room price, again the attitude of the staff could not be worst, all this people seem as if they don't want to be there, the buffet is more fruits and bad old bread , greasy food in general, this restaurant reminds me of a really bad school cafeteria, with grimming employees with a chip in their shoulders, my wife and I decide to have breakfast at Casa del mar, the same food but had more charm to it, this is the older part of the hotel and in my opinion less crowded as to Torre del mar, the food in general is below average and very expensive for the quality. One more thing,stay away from the "Oficina de Contactos" is a hub for scammers that claim to take you to a beautiful beach call "Baru" I named it "Secuestro Express" " Kidnap Express",They take you to this beach but before they do, after been up since 6AM and not getting anywhere they ask for money for everything, on top of the money you already paid at the hotel, four hours later you arrive at this over crowded tiny strip of beach, crawling with the most annoying street vendors,by the time you get there you just want to get back to the hotel, what a never ending nightmare, the woman at the office "Contactos" never mention any of the many perils we had that horrific day, and the reason we went there is because the beach at the hotel is the most polluted beach I have ever seen, and also very dangerous, you'll get mugged if you wander around especially at night, worst time ever!.

The resort was clean! The room & decor were average. The bathtubs were extremely small (I'm 5'1 and had trouble). Takes rocket science to put the TV in English language. Internet HORRIBLE throughout resort. The wait/bar staff were amazing! Very few speak English,tho. The hospitality was amazing! DO NOT TIP ANYONE (It is included in price of everything) Police everywhere, even to enter onto/off of beach! Humidity unbearable! Traffic is atrocious. Cars & motorcycles don't care about pedestrians. TAKE A CAB or UBER. Don't walk.
