One of the best hotel at Mcleodganj , staff is very professional ,specially room staff....Tariff is very genuine,luxury hotel ,comfortable stay for families friends and specially couples. The best part of this hotel is BlackMagic restaurant becoz most of the times parties going on

Very very Bad service, They don't clean the rooms very very rude staff.
They don't even provide a nailcutter to their guests for 10 mins. We had to go out urgently to the market & it was raining heavily they dint provide us an umbrella to use for a while they said there is not even a single umbrella for the guest. Overall very poor service very rude staff.We took a suite room with a balcony but the chairs put in the balcony were all broken and they dint even replace it. Please don't visit this hotel it will spoil your entire trip.

After arriving from Shimla on a 9 hour bus trip, we were told by the guesthouse that we had booked for 4 nights that they did not have a room for us. Fortunately they finally offered to put us into the Black Magic and Lavish Inn for one night and then they could accommodate us for the last 3 nights.
By the next morning we had decided to stay at the Black Magic and Lavish Inn and enjoyed our stay there. The location is great- right in the heart of McLeod Ganj and very close to major attractions, like the Tibet Museum and the Dalai Lama monastery.
The staff were so accommodating and assisted with every request that we had. We were able to choose where we ate our breakfast and the choice of foods in the café, bakery and restaurant was very adequate.
Our room was cleaned everyday and toiletries and towels replaced. And the room had good wardrobe space, a large TV and good WiFi.
The initial mix up with our booking at the other guesthouse was certainly a positive result for us in being able to stay in this hotel.
They are working on improvements everyday and are obviously committed to making this a real hotel of choice in the future.

The only point to stay in this hotel is its location. Food was waste of money, room were not cleaned properly and provided with used bed sheets and covers. No receipt was provided for the GST amount charged separately. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. Further it is also overpriced in comparison to the services quality.

We were 3 families with small kids. The hotel is on the main market road but still there was no noise in the rooms. Below is the review:
Pros:
1. Food is very good. The restaurant Black Magic at 1st floor serves delicious food. Hotel has an open terrace restaurant and bar which is also nice.
2. Cafe also serves fresh food. We tried veg momos, sandwhich and cream roll. All were good.
3. Service was good. We gave orders for children first and later for adults. The quantity was good and food was not much spicy to be easily consumed by kids.
4. Service given by Mr Manish was great. He ensured timely delivery of orders.
Cons:
1. Housekeeping was a pain area. They didnt clean the rooms till 3 p.m. and we had to scold them for cleaning our rooms. They didnt have enough stock of bathroom towels as they didnt provide us with towels on the second day. Better to carry your own soap and toothpaste. Although soap is there but during cleaning they took the soap and didnt put a new one.
2. The passage to the rooms was not cleaned timely. The plates guests kept outside their rooms weren't picked up on time.
3. The hotel organises dance party at The Black Magic restaurant on Saturdays. There was loud noise coming in our rooms on 4th floor. Good thing was they organise party till 10:30 pm only.
