This was our first road trip on our way to Spain Motogp Valencia. We had driven from South Shields North East of England. We found this really nice place to stay in Poitiers. Found a lovely young girl who in her best English described from my Google map where it was. A little tucked away. A few unkind words to one another being exhausted we found it. Car park a bit of a squeeze, but we have got a large transit to park up. On entering the building we were greeted with warm smiles. Very accommodating staff.the room was fine for a one night stop over. A bit dated with shower/bath. You know the one where the shower curtain loves you!!! But it was clean. A small bar with a very friendly waitress in the hotel. A shopping centre near by to collect supplies. Gorgeous bread. A fresh pizza shop, all made for a comfortable night. Would recommend.only downside was finding the place when your tired and grumpy.
Ideal stopover

We booked this last minute on our drive through France. Very friendly hotel & spoke excellent English. Arrived at 9.20pm the restaurant closed at 9.30pm but they let us sort out our things before we ate. Food was amazing and reasonably priced we had a starter Buffett which included oysters amongst the seaford offered. This we followed with one of the best fish stews we have ever tasted. The room was basic but very clean even able to take our dog in with us. Would definitely reccomend this hotel as a stopover

As we were 3 families with kids going to Futuroscope the next day, we did not really care what hotel to pick and had no expectation. Good on us because bedrooms are just as simple as you can imagine with small bathrooms.
TVs hanged on the wall but not facing the bed so you have to twist your head.
Breakfast was alright with a reasonable selection of items.
Staff at frontdesk are extremely generous on their recommendation and that is really something great.
Location is a bit outside a huge collection of supershops and restaurants so great if you have a car :-)
All in all, nothing outstanding...
Great for a Stopover

We used the Brit Hotel as a stopover on our way to Spain from the UK.
It is set in a nice quiet area and with a choice of eating establishments nearby, which was handy for us as the restaurant was closed at the hotel.
The Receptionist was very helpful, and we ended up eating at a Chinese ouitsidde the gate, which was great.
The rooms are pretty basic, and the only reason we haven't scored this higher is purely down to the silly little things, light the bathroom light switch being inside and over the loo, not easy to find!
The shower was one of the worst we ever had in any hotel, poor pressure or a blockage, but frustrating to use.
The bed was comfortable, so a big plus as was on site parking.
The bar was open so we did enjoy a glass of wine, and breakfast was a simple buffet affair. A bit expensive at 9 euros per head though!
Yes, we would use it again,
Good hotel for a stop over

Stayed here on our way through France to Spain. The Receptionist was very helpful, and our room was comfortable. We ate our evening meal here - as it was a warm sunny evening we sat on the terrace which was very pleasant, and we enjoyed the food. At the end of the corridor there was the facility to make tea, but unfortunately all that was on offer were herbal teas - not to our taste! We were happy with the hotel for a one-night stop, and would stay here again if we were travelling in this area.
