The hotel looks fabulous from outside but the interior is a bit outdated. This has probably been a 4 or 5 star hotel but now it's definitely 3 stars. It's good value for money though. The room for 4 people was spacious and we even had a small balcony (but no chairs there!). The bathroom was small with a bathtub but it was clean, the shower was good and towels were big and soft. There was a nice looking pool with some a bit outdated chairs but when we asked if we could use it the lady at the reception said it is not in use after October 15th (2 days before) which was a bit irritating since it looked fine and the weather (+28 and sunny) would have been perfect for swimming.
There was a big parking area in the hotel backyard and the beach was about a 10-15 min walk from the hotel.

Reception staff pleasant & efficient, a good start. Room basic but very clean. Mattress very comfortable. We opted for continental breakfast for an additional €9pp. There was plenty of bread, croissants, meats & cheese, and unexpectedly decaf coffee, a rarity in France. All in all good for €69 a night

Only stayed one night at this hotel but enJoyed every minute it is within easy walking distance to the beach very clean and well run the pool is a bonus and the surrounding area a beautiful sun trap parking was also good if I was in this area again would definitely stay at this hotel

We changed rooms three times to get a room that was sort of decent. The shower pole in the small bathroom was broken, the towels were of the lowest quality, curtains stained. We had a balcony where the wood is totally rotten and the poor marquise is totally broken!
Asked for some ice cubes at the reception to get the response "that we do not do" (I do speak French fluently).
In summary, not a great stay and until the hotel is refurbished not worth staying here, there are hotels for the same price in town!

Arcachon and around in summer..a nightmare if you decide to visit it on last minute
the Dauphin has a resonable prices
125 euros , brekfast not included
and there is a pool
Hotel is well located
there is no charm just an hotel
the team is ok
there is no services...even when you ask your key they dont pay attention and gave us a wrong key
the only staff who smile at us was the HK made !
there is nothing special
just a good place if you spend all your day out!
