Too far away from the beaches and rainforest

We just stayed in Le Priss as part of a independent tour.
While it is minimal and clean, it lacks safes, decent wifi and any sort of comfort.. which is great for getting you out and about!
But we were so disappointed to be in the back blocks of a noisey town 7kms from a swimmable beach and even further away from the natural park.. which is what we had come for.
We decided to leave and move to somewhere closer to the natural action and it's turned into the best holiday ever!
Great Staff

the pool is on the top floor and one of the nicest i've been to in costa rica so far. I've only interacted with the night front desk man and the night security guard and they were both wonderful and kind people that I will definitely miss. close to the local bus stop. their catamaran was the biggest on the dock. their wifi was in the lobby and leaked out the adjacent rooms. but i found that this was better than having wifi in every room because I really got to bond with the people i was travelling with. sitting outside my hotel room, I felt safe and had a great time. One thing was the locks on certain doors were kinda hard to open, but the security guard was always happy and eager to help!
2 Night Stay as part of an adventure tour around Costa Rica

The stay here was part of a group tour and we had no say in picking venues. The hotel is located in the small town of Quepos and close to all the action (cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, etc). It's also just a bus ride away from Manuel Antonio National Park.
Pro's: Clean good sized bedrooms, good location, friendly reception staff, rooftop pool with deck chairs and a great spot to relax, Free Wi-Fi, no breakfast facilities.
Con's: Tiny bathrooms, no safe in room for valuables, weak & intermittent WiFi, pool is for dipping your toes & not designed deep enough for a swim (still adequate to cool down)
Clean, fresh, safe.

The staff at this hotel work hard. They are constantly cleaning, fixing, and painting. The room decor is very simple but new and clean. The air conditioning is amazing -- and vital. There's a lot of street noise when you are in the lobby, but once in the room with the AC turned on you can't hear a thing. The pool upstairs was great. One note -- the canopy above the sundecks offers no UV protection. Wear sunscreen.
Budget Traveler's Luxury Hotel

I stayed at Le Priss from Dec. 23-26, 2015. I discovered this lovely hotel by accident as I walked around Quepos looking for decent and affordable accommodation. I arrived in Quepos by shared shuttle with the intention of visiting Manuel Antonio National Park. Getting to the park from Le Priss required simply walking across the street to hop on the Quepos to MA public bus: 310 colones (less than $1.00). Le Priss is also across the street from a big grocery store and within a few minutes walk of many cafes, restaurants, and a drop-off laundry service. The hotel is a budget traveler's dream: A/C, a spacious, clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, flat screen TV, ceiling fan, awesome rooftop terrace and beautiful cascading pool with fountain, hot water. The wifi was a little sketchy, though using it in the reception area was no problem. Plus the two young men who work at reception spoke fluent English and were so so helpful. I recommend Le Priss for solo travelers, families, couples. It's an attractive hotel with a friendly, helpful staff, inexpensive, and enough amenities for those of us who don't demand/require everything.
