Great location for this modern hotel
easybicycletouringon 01/10/2017 14:05Our rooms had a wonderful view of the sea and beach area. Located in the heart of Sottomarina (Chiogga) close to numerous restaurants. The hotel has a bar and restaurant although it is a bit expensive. Wonderful breakfast. Seems to host a lot of groups including our group of 10 cyclists and they provided bicycle storage in their underground parking lot. Very modern hotel with friendly staff.

Breakfast is complete, though I would have preferred more fruit

You get a chair on the beach
In the evening very lively environment
Beach is very crowded
Free bikes in the hotel, a big plus

annemorrice5on 15/06/2017 15:41Lovely outdoor pool very welcome after long days cycling. However had to pay for pool towel! Rooms comfortable and breakfast good. On busy area near beach funfair but able to walk into town. Lots of good restaurants around.

NZfoodyon 18/04/2017 17:32Booked here for 4 nights so we could visit Venice& Chioggia and stay by the sea (with our 2 teens). So I wanted a decent place to stay without a huge expense - BINGO!
I found it clean with modern rooms, and a restaurant I can recommend! (Unusual for a touristy hotel in Italy)
All the staff were lovely - from housekeeping, restaurant, reception.
Direction had created a special Easter apero by the pool followed by lunch. It really was sooo nice .
Hand on heart value for money
Seaside rooms are worth the view - but obviously in Italy you have the road in between.
Breakfast was good enough ( it had everything and was fresh) though I always think it sad when Italian hotels don't have a barista to prepare your coffee instead of an unauthentic machine.
Any other improvements still needing I left marked on the comment card - nothing major.
Sottomarina, Chioggia are beautiful
Added bonus that you can ferry to Venice for the day

I would return happily but sadly, whilst we travel all over Italy we hardly ever return to the same place :(

wimducatteeuwon 28/08/2016 19:54I have known Le Tegnue for many years and I was a happy witness of their enormous and continuous renovation. It is really a four star hotel. Don't believe the reviews that understimate the quality of their breakfast buffet or meals: they have an excellent kitchen and a lot of what they serve is honestly home made traditional Italian quisine at its best. I cannot describe in ten sentences the truly unbelievable helpness of the staff their (I can give you really astonishing examples). People who consider corriders and rooms that are decorated in Italian marble as "ordinary" (read the reviews here) are in my humble opinion spoiled or too rich. It is simply the best hotel in Sottomarina (and believe me, I have seen a lot of them there). It is only a real pity they are becoming too expensive to visit tyhem with my groups. For the rest: I wish all Italian hotels were run by such a real welcoming family.
