We stayed one night here, our room had a Jacuzzi bath - and even an outside terrace! What a shame the weather was so dismal we could not make use of it. The room was quite dark with no main light so a little gloomy if you wanted to spend time in the room which we did not. The only complaint was the bed whose mattress was not the best causing the inevitable 'roll together' throughout the night. However breakfast in the morning was a delight, lovely fresh fruit, prunes, nuts even, very fresh croissants and bread and joy of joys, teapots and loose tea to make the perfect brew. For the price it's an excellent two star hotel very close to the centre of the town and well worth a stopover here for a night or two.

What a lovely little hotel with a small private garden and a pool. The family were so welcoming and friendly. Good breakfast. They popped out to get more croissants when they ran out. The room was clean and comfortable but no air conditioning. 5 minutes wealk into the town and many places to eat.

Les Pasteliers is a mid-sized hotel close to the Albi city center (about 5 min walking). It is not top-notch, but very functional. The rooms differ greatly in size and style. I had a very small room with leaning roof (I was not even able to stand in the shower, being 6 feet 2), while a colleague of mine had a very large room with three beds. Rooms were clean, although not very modern. However, basic stuff like flat-screen tv and climate control was available. My room was quiet in terms of street noice, but neighbours could be heard at times. Breakfast was good in comparison with other french hotels I have stayed at, offering yougurt, cereals, croissant, coffee, juice etc. The interior was somewhat worn (chabby chic?), but clean. Staff was very friendly and could speak english. Given the price, I think Les Pasteliers was good value.
Oh, I almost forgot - the wifi worked very well. Not super-fast, but stable and enough speed for mail, facebook etc.

We decided to break our trip through France by stopping overnight at the Hotel Les Pasteliers. Looking at the information online it seemed perfect place and upon entering reception our feelings were reiterated. The receptionist couldn't speak English but was very helpful however the room we were given was very disappointing. We had paid extra for a room with a terrace but, although the terrace was large enough, the room was very small and didn't have the minibar or tea/coffee facilities promised. when this was pointed out to the gentleman on duty the following morning, no apology was made or an offer of a discount. If you wish to book this hotel, I suggest you choice any other room but the one with a terrace!

Once past the entrance way which is bright and interesting, the corridors and room seem quite dull and initially for me off putting. The rooms were fine as long as you have no issue with having a toilet either beside your bed or in the middle of the room. In our room the toilet, separate from the bathroom, was in a cupboard next to the bed which meant if you got up in the night the extractor fan was liable to disturb anyone else sleeping. Our friends in tbe neighbouring room had the toilet in the corner of the bedroom with barely enough room to bend your knees to sit down properly and tbe door didn't close properly. They found this quite off putting.
Breakfast is not included in the cost but is worth paying for. There was a good selection, helpful staff and the only down side was that the coffee was out of a machine. There was an excellent selection of teas, fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, jams etc.
The reception staff were very friend,y and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the main town and there is free parking very close. If the toilet is not an issue for you then the hotel is perfectly adequate.
