Stayed 2 nights as part of a Cox and Kings Peru tour. Good class hotel with helpful staff but attractive outdoor pool closed for maintenance in High? season during hot weather. Busy town close by well worth a visit to the Cathedral area. Visitors in shorts not allowed entry, despite advice to the contrary by the concierge. Again, as in other hotels, the tea was lukewarm and awful, the breakfast poached eggs were stone cold and the gym was small.The outside loudspeaker used for another party of guests was intrusive.

The hotel has beautiful grounds with turtles and llamas on site (go out the back doors). It is by two beautiful parks so the view is great out of our room. You can easily walk to town from the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was nice and helpful.

I guess I expect certain facilities in a 5 star hotel. The rooms are large and the beds quite comfortable. There was no kettle in the room to make our own drinks or an iron to straighten out creases.
The rooms are dark and gloomy
We were warned in advance that the pool was not in service

We have stayed to the hotel for one night!
- Great big room with very large double bed which was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was also spacious
- There was a facility to have coca tea in the lobby by the reception 24 hours/day which was useful to help acclimatize to the altitude
-The breakfast buffet was impressive amazing (a good range of buffet items and a choice of eggs to order.)
- It’s a 15min walking distance from Plaza del Armas
- Staff was friendly and courteous and very professional
- Internet connection was good (free wifi)

Only 1 night but the arrangements the staff made for us made our trip.
Hotel was nice - room perhaps needed a little maintenance - we were upgraded to a suite and aircon didn't work. However, nice room, windows opening onto a courtyard and great breakfast with a view!
Front desk went out of their way and took a lot of their time to organise accommodation in other cities, car and driver to get us there and what a job they did. Great advise and a huge help in the planning!
We were 'given' Carlos to drive us to Cusco. Arrangements compliments of Hotel Libertador.
Carlos (not a guide but did well with English) took us on a 2 day trip and made sure we didn't miss a thing!
His driving was excellent, even in the face of adversity (which there is a lot of on Peruvian roads :-D), didn't ever panic and stayed alert even when the altitude caught up with us and we dozed.
He was informed, always friendly and always smiling. Thanks Carlos!! We unfortunately didn't get his contact details but ask for him from the hotel if you need a driver.
Hotel was a bit of a walk from 'all that happens' in Arequipa, but it probably makes for a nicer setting and a quieter night's sleep.
Would definitely go back!
