Stayed at Mangalam Hotel for a night on the 24th November.
I didn't do any research which I often do before staying at any place but there were change of plans and had to stay in Kolkata for a night in or near Hastings.
Did a quick book on Goibibo and checked into the deluxe room. It was a nice room, or it looked like Heaven because I was very exhausted.
Location: On main road opposite Pan Asia hotel. Easily accessible via Google maps. You have other eateries, local markets at walking distance.
Room: Well arranged and equipped. You have tea/coffee maker, TV, a comfy King Bed among others. The AC was an old one and a bit noisy the temperature controller was also not working as it was supposed too. Anyways I didn't bother to get them fixed as I was staying for a night and its winter season, so once the room was cold it stayed cool. The only problem was that being situated on the main road there quite a few honks through out the night, but since I was tired once I fell asleep I was asleep.
Bathroom was nice with all dental and other kits available as I didn't plan for a nights stay.
Overall the cleanliness of the room was pretty standard and gave me peace of mind.
Food: Had Veg thali and it was pretty Ok, Dal, chapatis, Mix Veg and few more items. Limited choice for Complimentary breakfast: Puri Bhaji and Sandwich.
Staff is professional and courteous.
Overall a good Restful stay for a quick trip.

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel considering to be good after reading few of the reviews but my perception went wrong.
Location of the hotel is good easy to find out just near the road side but it was also disturbing at nights because road side traffic noises may disturb your sleep.
Rooms are small with a little smell of dampness. Bathrooms are too small, towels may be of before independence so it's better to carry your own. No restaurant it was closed however room service is available but food quality is poor. Prefer to eat outside as there is lots of food joints nearby including jay hind dhaba just opp to the hotel. Breakfast is also limited with one or two items that too they serve it in a hall at 5th floor or in room if required. Wifi is free but speed is really pathetic. Overall a very bad experience lots of improvement required, except location and staffs nothing is impressive.

A nice centrally located hotel. The rooms were nice & simple, dont expect much in these prices. Its more of Business hotel i found. They have restaurant, WiFi. The food was ordinary & would prefer eating out. The staff was nice.Overall a nice budget hotel.

Located in Sarat Bose road the one of the most happening place in Kolkata. Rooms are neat and clean, a bit small but adequate for business travellers. Buffet breakfast is awesome having a wide variety options like North Indian/South Indian etc.

No commitment level. These people Provide rooms at higher rates to the guest directly and denying confirmed agent's booking on direct payment basis that too with payment at the time of check inn to the same guest and after that deny the services committed it seems like they can do anything for the extra money
