Not worth money paid

Location is ok as name suggests it's in the heart of city but that's it. Food is costly as compared to quality. Poor ambience at lobby and reception which is on 3 floor. Rooms are ok but needs more facilities. Hotel thrives on wedding parties and groups so not good for business and conference or meetings as buffet is not available and ala cartel is costly. So overall not a good experience and will go for any other hotel when next time in Vijaywada.
Very stuffy lobbies

Midcity hotel is located in the middle of no where. It is on main busy road but nothing around. Rooms are just standard, clean. Breakfast is just basic. As you come out of room it has a tall roof all through 3 stories and top is enclosed. It makes the lobbies very hot and stuffy.
Train Housekeeping to keep a checklist of items to be placed in each room.

I stayed at Midcity for 4 nights alongwith my family in Feb 2017. It is centrally located on Bandar road. The hotel has a rear entrance towards the end of the building. The bathrooms in the standard category dont have any partition in the shower area. As a result, all water spills to the other side of the bathroom. Can be quite messy. The housekeeping staff invariably would place old floor towels (fold the clean side upwards) on the floor everyday. White Towels are also quite old and turned dark color. Handtowels are provided only if you ask for them. Even if 2 pax are staying in the room, they place 1 coffee/tea mug in the room, dont check if tea bags/milk powder/sugar is there or not. one of the items is always missing in the room as well as the bathroom. Bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The handpipe was leaking too. 2 water bottles (small size) are given to each room per day. But it is not placed in the room, till one goes to the reception and asks for it.
For the price, the rooms are okay. Reception services, room services are quite prompt. Breakfast opens at 7:30am but the breakfast is never ready on time. One has to wait for half an hour at least. It has only limited items. Service quite slow. If the curry is placed, the pooris will come half an hour later. If idlis are placed, the chutney will come much later. Half the time they dont understand simple English or hindi. I feel someone with basic knowledge of the language should be in the on duty in the restaurant to manage all guests. Otherwise, food is quite good. They normally have north indian items on the menu. Suggest to include local cuisine/Andhra specialities.
The room is given for 24 hours from the time you check in which is very good.
i would stay here again but hope the housekeeping & other services are improved.
Good location, Badly designed hotel!

The hotel has an excellent location, on MG Road, besides the Passport office! Passport office occupies a couple of floors and the hotel is on top of it! The entrance of the hotel at the Ground level is very tricky as it is a stairwell with a small room, where a security guard sits! You have to take a lift to reach the lobby! There was a party going on the hotel and the noise of people talking (yelling) and children running around was unbearable! The food was mediocre!
Nice hotel....

I stayed here for two days on company expenses. The room provided was very nice and clean. Room service was prompt. The elevators in this hotel are a bit confusing, they open on different sides on different floors. If you are going to stay there, i would recommend you to have their tea, it is awesome. Although i had great tea everywhere in Andhra. Have a pleasant stay.
