Great Beach Stay
MaryClare Pon 18/06/2017 15:03This hotel was right on the bay of silence which was great! They have their own section of the beach with chairs and umbrellas that the lifeguard will help you with. This was nice since the regular beach was very crowded! The breakfast here was wonderful as well. We stayed in the suite, and it was very large! We had two large bathrooms, a big bedroom, and a living room with a comfortable pull out sofa. It was right in the middle of all of the shops and restaurants in Sestri Levante which was nice as well! Great stay! The staff was very accommodating and even let us store our bags since we got to the hotel before check in time. Parking was difficult though. The deck is small and the streets are very narrow near the hotel.
A good hotel standard

The room was small and facing a court yard with a balcony which wasn't private, however it was all we required as we had not paid for a sea view . Great location on the beach with fantastic views for breakfast or drinks in the evening. Service very good and breakfast was a continental style with lots of choice. I think this hotel is a good option if you are considering Sestri Levante for a few nights without kids
Superb Location
Glutton7on 20/05/2017 12:59The Miramare located on the 'Bay of Silence' was a perfect hotel for a short spring break. My wife had an antic room on the 4th floor not shabby though; recently renovated with air con and all the features that one would expect from a four star Italian resort hotel. The only complaint was being woken by the sound of a grumpy sea gull sitting on the sky light!!
Excellent service by friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet included fresh seasonal fruit and several delicious local pastries. Definitely stay again not least because Sestri Levante is one of prettiest seaside towns on the Ligurian coast.This is not a budget hotel; double room cost €190/night.
The Bay of Silence, a little piece of heaven.
Julie Con 02/05/2017 13:21The hotel is in a perfect position on the Bay of Silence, which is glorious, tucked just around the corner from the main bay. The hotel has very pleasant lounges and terrace spaces, with just a few steps down to the beach. Service was good, and during our April stay, we didn't have to wait.
We had a balcony room upstairs facing the bay which I would highly recommend.
The local shops, bars and restaurants are close by. We ate locally and the food was wonderful, with just one meal in the hotel, which was a little underwhelming. The breakfasts though were great, with plenty of choice.
We had a fabulous stay.
Great Location, wonderful hotel, cold staff
Reaneybean80on 01/05/2017 21:31The Miramare is situated on the beautiful bay of silence in Sestrie Levante; a perfect place to base yourself for Cinqueterra and Portofino. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms spacious and clean. A friend and I asked for a twin room and got a double with a very uncomfortable sofa bed which we felt was poor considering the nightly rate. After an early start and a long journey we arrived at Hotel Miramare early afternoon and were acknowledged (not greeted) by a very efficient but unfriendly receptionist. We had issues with our key card not working while we were there and the same receptionist failed to resolve the issue which meant going to bed one evening without a key! The next morning we were greeted by another lady who couldn't have been more helpful and sorted the key issue whilst we had breakfast, it was a shame we didn't receive this service until an hour before we checked out. The bar staff were very friendly. The hotel offers a complimentary pick up and drop off service too and from the train station which we were very grateful for. There was a good selection at breakfast and the cappuccino was perfect!
