Horrific from the moment I saw it
NicoleMc94on 18/02/2017 01:04I booked this hotel on booking.com, as it had a number of good reviews. It was horrible. When we arrived, everything was dark. We were supposed to be on the 4th floor, but the reception was not open. There was no light, and the stairs was dangerous! Toilets are shared with other bedrooms, nightmare of a place. Had to book a different hotel right away, ended up in the Mercure which was amazing.
Awful Standards
Andyluke2on 07/02/2016 10:48Having needed a room for a few nights at short notice, a friend booked this hotel for us having looked online.
We arrived, no staff on site so had to phone someone to let us in, we were told "The room is open, top floor". We negotiated a steep and dark staircase, opened the room door and the only positive was that it was a large room. It was filthy! Walls, carpets, shower, toilet all dirty. We didn't dare test the bed out so we left immediately.
I would suggest that anybody who is looking for even the basic of comforts should stay clear of this hotel.

Cheap and Cheerful - MUCH more than we expected
Robbie Aon 19/07/2015 22:31Excellent central location, free wifi, large room, and very cheap. Within throwing distance of all the bars and landmarks, and directly outside a tram stop. Minimal staff but not an issue - we were given a door code before arrival.
Not the best
ravensraton 08/07/2013 16:53If like us, you arrive on a Sunday, do not expect to find any staff at the hotel. Once in the hotel you have to negotiate a very steep and dark staircase, with no clear indication of the whereabouts of any light switches. Our room was large and airy but very basic, with the minimum furnishings and not very clean, despite having been recently redecorated. the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds that we have ever slept in .No breakfast is served on Monday morning which was disappointing as there are no facilities in the room for making tea and coffee, and we could not find anywhere nearby that was open for breakfast.
They advertise that free parking is available nearby, where? All we could find were a limited number of spaces just around the corner, which were only free between the hours of 7pm and 9am.
I would not go out of my way to stay in this hotel again, and would not recommend it to anybody.
Basic and shoddy
FPGSon 15/03/2013 20:07Spent 2 nights here in late January visiting a sick relative in Angers hospital (in other words booked a room without due care and attention!). Hotel smelled of take-away Chinese from next door. Rooms had 'private facilities' but shared toilets up the corridor. There was a main bulb missing in the room, which was not replaced even when I reported it. The room was at the back, away from the main road on the corner so promised to be quiet - but there is a night club which kicks out at some unearthly time and very noisily, so we didn't even sleep well. Don't stay here even if you are desperate!
