this hotel experience was great. The small touches were noticed and appreciated. the valet team were great, offering directions and everything we needed. Cute puppy amenities and great lobby space. Coffee was good toO!

My girl friends took me here for a night for my birthday. She booked it via hotwire. Very unique hotel and the rooms are clean and nice.
However, we had 3 people in the hotel , and they couldn't give us 2 beds. The fold out couch was very uncomfortable to sleep in.
Valet was good except when we stayed, they had major construction right outside the hotel.
Overall, I would stay here again but definitely would need the hotel to guarantee us 2 beds if more than 2 people.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Monaco during a trip through the Pacific Northwest and a stop in Seattle.
The reservation process was easy. I emailed the hotel back and forth on a couple of occasions and was able to secure a discounted rate on parking through my AAA membership as well as understanding the nuances of each room type before I reserved.
When we pulled up to the hotel we were immediately met by the valet who welcomed us and showed us to the front desk while he took car of the car and our luggage - he was attentive and nice to speak with.
The front desk staff was personable and down to earth. We spoke with them for at least 15 minutes while they welcomed us back to a Kimpton Property as well as conversing about the hotel amenities and our trip in general. We were told happy anniversary (it was our 27th) and that there was something special waiting for us.
The bellman, a nice young man who just couldn't do enough for us, escorted us to our room. Or should I say our Junior Suite! This was one of the largest hotel rooms I have yet to experience - and I travel a lot! Nicely appointed bathroom with a large living area separated by a cased wall and sliding curtain for added privacy. The living area was appointed with comfortable seating and a sofa as well as the usual coffee table and desk/tv/mini bar furniture piece. The quality of the furniture was in excellent repair and colors in the room were very relaxing. The bedroom had a super comfortable king bed with customary end tables and dresser with another 40" LCD tv. What a nice respite from a long day of driving.
Within 5 minutes of the bellman leaving there was a knock at the door. It was a pleasant young lady wishing us Happy Anniversary and had a bottle of champagne, champagne flutes and a bowl of fresh fruit! what a pleasant surprise! My wife and I really appreciated the attention.
After finishing the bubbly we took to heading to the lobby for the complimentary wine reception. They had a nice chardonnay and rose? I believe - so nice to mingle with other guests as well as conversing with the hotel staff again. We even me the hotel dogs! Such a nice add - we love animals and having them at the front desk just puts a smile on your face.
Although it was Memorial Day and the hotels restaurant we were given some excellent recommendations for alternative choices.
When we checked out the process as as efficient as the check-in. Our car was brought around in minutes and everyone expressed their appreciation for us staying with them.
I have to say without reservation - this hotel is by far superior to any other hotel in the Seattle area and the Kimpton brand always exceeds my expectations when traveling.

First time at the Seattle Hotel Monaco. Fun lobby with their signature happy hour featuring local wines and tasty appetizers. The morning coffee & tea bar is always a welcomed touch, but some one at the hotel liked to remove all the lids 2 mornings in a row! Lovely room with curtain divider between bed and sitting room. Bathroom soaps, shampoo and lotions were wonderfully scented-want to buy some to take home, but not in gift shop. Ok mattress, sofa bed mattress (as in most hotels) was unpleasant. Good number of outlets for all chargers and devices. Our only negative was we never got our requested gold fish. All staff was genuinely cheerful and very willing to help and suggest. We will be back.

This hotel is steps away from Cray, Disney, and other businesses in the Seattle Financial District. It's also across the street from the amazing Seattle Central Public Library. Keep in mind because of the business-focus of the area, many restaurants are closed on the weekends, limiting your choices. The hotel is on one of the main streets for bus travel, making it easy to catch public transportation, and the staff will help you catch a cab. Rooms were a bit small.
