Great place, great price!

The place was great!
The receptionists were really friendly. The room was cleaned every day and we had free croissants and coffee every morning. The free Wi-Fi was pretty good.
The area is not glossy, but it is not so bad. There is really good, big supermarket nearby. The Termini station is about 10 minutes away and there is a metro station about 5 minutes away. Actually we used the metro only to go to the Vatican City. Walking to the Colosseum, tha Pantheon, Trevi fountain or other landmarks in the city is really nice, because you see a lot other great places and feel the city's charm.
I recommend the place if you are looking for good service and clean and cosy room at a good price!
Very nice for the price

We had a nice stay here, room was cleaned every day and there was a street view from the window. Not located in the nicest part of town, but drinks and snacks are much cheaper in the near by shops than in the ones in the tourist parts of town, and it's a 10-15 minute walk to the colosseum so it's not far from the center. We were given a map and some tips from the receptions as soon as we got there, that was nice. Termini is not far away neither, maybe a 10 minute walk. Over all it was a very good stay for the price!
Very good stay

Stayed in hotel Moscatello from 26th to 31st of May. Really happy with the stay, the room and the bathroom were clean, the beds were confy, the staff were friendly. The fridge was filled with water bottles daily. Wifi in the room was pretty good at most times. Every morning you get free coffee and a croissant. Would stay here again! The only issue is , if you're a sensitive sleepers, the noise from the street.
Good stay with nice staff

We had a good stay in room 8 of moscatello hotel.
For a city trip this is the perfect hotel. There is no 24/7 reception but that is fine. You will get a key to get in and out the hotel when the reception is closed.
Thanks to Adrianna for being so helpfull and giving us a warm welcome.
We only have one tip for the reception. We stayed in room 8. Room 8 is close to the reception. In the first 3 days we where awaken by the loud voices at the reception. This was not so nice for us.
Maybe its better to build a extra door between the reception and the rooms?
For the rest of our stay it was really pleasing.
Cheap, bad location, unhelpful staff

The hotel itself is dated and not well maintained. The staff speaks very little English. As several other reviewers have mentioned, it's not in a nice part of town. Everything closes around 6pm and the streets are deserted. Plus it's quite far from anything. We stayed there for one night before catching the train to the airport, it's a long walk -- easily 20 minutes especially if there's traffic. Also, like all the hotels in Italy they charge "tourist tax" of 3 euro. Unfortunately this place only accepts cash as payment. While at dinner, we went to an ATM and got cash out and when we came back the front desk didn't have enough change to break the 20. So I had to go back out onto the unsafe street and find a shop to break the 20 and pay the fee, this could've easily been eliminated if they'd just taken my credit card. Finally, the wifi was spotty and slow. If you're an international hotel in Rome, you MUST have decent wifi. Your tourist guests are counting on it!
