Our company of 5 discovered this gem quite randomly. The hotel has a wonderful rooftop that is perfect for chilling out at the evening. Jay, the owner of the place, organized delicious food cooking and made our evening absolutely enjoyable. We also got to know some people staying in the hotel who joined us along the evening.
I'd say that this place has proper energy as a blend of both Indian culture and Western travellers.
I've also seen a couple of rooms. The facilities looked nice, even though maybe not too fancy.

We stayed there one night with a friend. Location is excellent, walking distance from Taj Mahal and you can be at the train stations quite fast. Personnel was really nice, rooms clean and spacey. We had breakfast and lunch there and both were very good, the chicken butter curry and the panneer tikka massala were awesome. Would absolutely go there again! Be advised, they don't accept cards.

Krishna Haveli is a nice hostel run by hard woking and helpful people. The manager was very understanding of our change of plans and did not charge us extra for shortening our stay despite our online booking. The rooms are not luxury but the bed was comfortable, the showers hot and the wifi good so for the price you can’t complain.
Jay is a fantastic cook who serves good food on the cafe on the top floor. He even invited us into the kitchen and taught us his recipe for his butter chicken dish. The main course meat dishes were 400-500 rupees but all include a generous portion of meat. Also there is no tax on the food for once!
It’s always nice to discover hostels run by people who are passionate about offering the best service possible and Jay is defiantly one of those people. I look forwards to returning one day when the cafe is decked out with a hot tub and a sauna!

Very near from Tay Mahal ticket office, very clean with a rooftop that have "Pushkar" style restaurant (sitting on the floor) with very good vibe .. food was delicious! Manager is very polite and good person (always smiling)

Staying there was really pleasant. the owner is polite, helpful and friendly. rooms are basic, but good enough for this price. the food at roof top restaurant was very tasty (but not cheap) and safe. I will recommend this hotel to my friends :)
