We arrived at the hotel after a day sightseeing,the room and bathroom were very clean and spacious there was also a separate toilet. The staff were very helpful supplying me with a plug to enable me to charge my phone. The hotel is well located in the centre of town near to restaurants and the town square.
We had breakfast which was plentiful and there was a good selection of hot and cold food.

A good basic hotel, with a very central location in Ieper that can't be beat. Friendly staff who speak excellent English (actually, almost everyone in this town speaks excellent English, putting my lame Dutch to shame). Nothing fancy but if you want a clean place to stay, this is it. We didn't try out the restaurant - you'll find much cheaper outside of the town square if you decide to venture out for your meals instead.
Take note if you're booking: No wash cloths provided in the bathroom, no safe in the room and no iron and ironing board (you'll have to request this if you need it).

A Novotel up to standard.A great location with amenities expected of a Novotel however the fitness room is tucked away & small.Friendly staff & a good breakfast .A short walk to Menin Gate & a selection of restaurants & bars.

The location of the Novotel is excellent. 2 minutes walk to the square and 4 minutes to the Menin Gate. Car parking is available at €15 per day.
This is my second stay, last time was 7 years ago. Not much has changed, perhaps the TV’s have been updated.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic, older Novotel style but quite functional. We had the couch converted into a bed for our daughter and it was comfortable. The main bed was quite firm and the pillow wasn’t great.
Because of the age of this hotel there are no charging points near the bed. The WIFI was free and fast. Easily streaming video.
The breakfast buffet has a large range of hot and cold selections but the coffee cups were all stained, yuck!
Overall the Novotel is a good choice. I’d stay again.

This hotel is in a great position in the town centre of Ypres, handy for the Menin Gate & Cloth Hall. I visited in a organised party, and the hotel was packed with visitors from the Antipodes commemorating New Zealand losses in WW1.
Me and my bro were in room 207, very spacious with a double and a single bed. There was a safe, flat screen tv and separate toilet and bathroom. WiFi was fairly easy to connect too. This being Belgium the bar had a beer selection that you could only dream about in many countries. So why not 5* you ask? Well the breakfast is best described as chaotic. You sign yourself in, then if your lucky you can get a seat reasonably quickly. The food is okay, there are plenty of bean to cup coffee machines and by trial and error you can find one that’s fully functional. Nonetheless though this is a good option in the heart of Ypres.
