I loved this location! Walking distance to the bank of the Ganga, many temples, the markets, bridges, ferries, and the Beatles Ashram.
You are literally right in the perfect spot to enjoy the heart of an authentic India experience.
The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive.
The room was clean and comfortable, and daily housekeeping was available anytime we wanted it. The room is traditional, and somewhat humble, but that’s exactly what I want when I visit India. Everything you need is there, but it’s definitely not a “fancy” hotel which is just fine with me. There is AC and a ceiling fan which is nice!!
Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Room service available 24/7.
I was there 2 weeks, and plan to return again next year for another long stay!!

We stayed here for 8 nights as part of a retreat and were treated like gold by all the staff. The food was freshly made and they accommodated our special requests. The rooms were clean and anything we asked for was brought up (ie extra towels, tp, etc.) I would definitely stay here again when in Rishikesh as the location is perfect.

Spent two nights (with family) from 30 Sept to 2 Oct 2017. Location-wise, the hotel is near all the ashrams/bathing ghats on the right side of the Ram Jhula. Flip side of the location is the congested alleys that have to be negotiated on foot (access by car being restricted after evening) to reach the hotel which is an issue when coming for the first time with luggage! This is however a small price to pay for the centrality of the location. The room (Premium Touch room, it was called) was decent enough with the expected standard amenities of a flat-screen TV, a tea/coffee maker, a small fridge, a room safe and adequate furniture. The room & bathroom were clean when we checked in. The restaurant serves good food, albeit slightly pricey. There is generally a wait of 20-30 minutes after the order for food to be ready, which we found perfectly reasonable as the food was being cooked fresh. The staff on duty were generally courteous and would assist readily when requested.
Now, for the cons. The hostel seems really understaffed, with the same person(s) multi-tasking at the reception counter, in the restaurant, at room service, and even at the attached boutique! This makes for poor levels of service. Our water jug was unfilled when we checked in and the reception person came up to fill it up when we requested. It was never refilled again. Similarly, the toiletries (only 1 set provided against a booking of 3 persons for 2 nights) were never replenished during our stay there. More importantly, house-cleaning was non-existent and our waste-bin overflowed with empty water bottles for the duration of our stay. Obviously, the beds weren't made and the bathrooms not cleaned either for the duration of the stay.
The other issue that I had was the obvious orientation of the hotel staff towards the foreign tourist. Nothing wrong with that per se- after all, they probably stay longer and must be paying better; but to explain to us as an aside on two occasions when a guest complained that it was only 'Indians' who complained and not foreigners, was I thought, a rather sweeping generalisation. Still, this is an unfortunate trend that I have noticed in hotels in many tourist places in the country and I do not especially hold it against the hotel staff as they continued to remain polite! The other minor issue was a distinct lack of enthusiasm from the reception staff when one asked for suggestions regarding tourist spots and assistance with river-rafting recommendations- not clear why this was so.
Overall, four stars for a central location, comfortable stay, pleasant behaviour of the staff, and good food at the restaurant.

Clean rooms and cleaner washrooms! Loved the service. Budget friendly. Was a solo woman traveller. The only challenge is the location. Cabs may not come for pickup from this hotel.
But service and cleanliness was amazing, with very friendly staff

Most downgrade place and services , after just our arrival, Manner-less staff , No etiquettes to talk to female.
Made my solo trip with my Mother, the most challenging Trip just to get a single time food for my mother( senior citizen ), to whom I carried just to let her Enjoy, but their hospitality was enough to Made her Hospitalized , not providing- warm water, a single dose of food on arrival, many things more to mention, but they don't deserve to be told.
I learnt one thing, Women travellers are Unsafe in India alone.
Mr. Govind , is the most untrustworthy irresponsible person I ever saw.
