We were looking for a quick get-away for the weekend and hadn't been to Loreto yet. We also wanted to be on the beach, so we selected Hotel Oasis in Loreto. It could have been great but it wasn't. I'll be brief:
1. It wasn't the least bit quiet. The first night there was a huge party on the beach just outside our hotel room. Apparently it was the "moonlight party" - and apparently the locals should be allowed to disrupt the peace and quiet of the visitors so they can sing, shout and dance until 5AM. The second night was a different kind of party. This time it was the tourists (there for the Baja 1000 race) who had too much to drink and stayed up late yelling, arguing, slamming doors, taking off in their loud race cars only to return to party, yell and slam doors until only about 1:30 AM this time.
2. The hotel staff were just okay. After we were kept up all night the first night I asked how to turn on the air-conditioning as a way to muffle the outside noise. Apparently the staff don't hand out the remote controls for such things unless you ask them.
3. The beds were uncomfortable. Maybe we are spoiled, but we were okay accepting the twin beds rather than our usual king. However, the beds were very uncomfortable and we are still sore!
All in all, we did not enjoy our stay here. We are glad we visited Loreto, but we won't be back. Once was enough.

I was really unhappy with my meal.
I had yellow tail with garlic and butter. Colslaw salad with Loreto potatoes.
Everything on my plate was swimming in butter including the salad. The potatoes were saturated with vinegar, they did not taste like potatoes. The fish was tasteless. The biggest complete I have is: I sent the meal back, was not offered a replacement and was charged for it. If nothing else I would suggest in revising this item on the menus. Not at all happy in the way this experience was handled.

The first time l stay in this hotel was over twenty years ago.. No much has change..more modern the rooms,with the mostfriendly service.the restaurant on Saturday evening offers great specialties... Clams,,lobster,seafood,all well prepared.the owner signora Anna Gloria welcome you with grace and a beautiful smile..

Hotel Oasis is where we stay in Loreto. It's right on the beach and within walking distance of the historic downtown. You know you're in Mexico, which I like. There is a large, well maintained swimming pool. The grounds are charming but could use a clean-up of the clutter and storm debris. The on-site restaurant offers surprisingly good food and slow service. I had the shrimp crepe: delicious and generous.

Ocean side was BEAUTIFUL, all the staff of the property were so friendly!!!! The restaurant at the hotel was great, the reservation came with breakfast for two the whole 8 day stay. So many wonderful amenities at Hotel Oasis!
