We landed quite late so decided to spend a night at male instead of going to the resort right away. We were picked up by the owner himself at the airport and showed us around. Himself and the staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has an excellent location - right by the city center with pharmacy, restaurants and shops nearby.

This is a great small hotel close to the busy main road of Male (Majeedhee Magu) but at the same time out from the caos.
I have been here already 3 times and the staff at the hotel is always nice and attentive.
The rooms are small but very well cleaned and they provide for all the necessary amenities.
I will definitely come back .

We only stayed at Octave for one night but the experience was really positive. The rooms were clean and cozy and the staff more then friendly and helpfull. It is possible to choose continental or local breakfast, we opted for maldivian breakfast and it was delicious. The hotel offers transfer from and to the ferry, which is really helpful especially upon arrival. If visiting Male again, I will stay at Octave.

With so much choice on Male, we relied once again on Trip advisor reviews for our 1 night "transit stop" and ended up booking a double deluxe room direct with the Octave.
Communication with Ismail was both helpful and prompt.
We had flown into Male from Dharavandhoo, landing in strong winds and lashing rain, waited a short while for Ismail to arrive and noted that the idyllic, calm sea and harbour we saw on the way out looked and felt like a completely different place due to the weather conditions.......We were soon on the ferry boat which tossed and pitched its way across and got off feeling a bit green around the gills and amazed at just how densely populated Male is. Check in was quick, we asked if we could have an early breakfast at 6am, "no problem sir" changed up some money, were given a street map and shown to our room via a small lift and slim hallway. The room we found to be spotless and smelling sweet due to the oil burner which had obviously been lit before our arrival. The mattress and pillows were very comfy and there was a range of toiletries in the wet room.
We took up the recommendation and ate at the "Evening Cafe" which was about a 15 min stroll away and left happy that we did, despite first impressions. There was a small Sri Lankan eatery almost opposite the hotel which looked quite busy.
Breakfast hit the spot and we were taken back to the ferry. Thankfully, it had stopped raining and the wind had dropped!
This hotel is centrally located and the staff were polite and helpful, perfect for a night or 2 in Male.

Excellent service, really surprised to receive a call from the hotel manager regarding our flight details, and the meet and greet service was excellent , we felt very comfortable during our stay in OCTAVE. The ambiance of the room was cosy and comfortable , with good food in the restaurant. Just a professional service with utmost care and trustworthy hotel to stay.
