Decent hotel

Great rooms good price with massive rooms. We had a room on the road side which was noisy as there was an Asian takeaway opposite with Arabs smoking drugs, asked the staff to move them which they did. Great super market opposite.
Wel located but few facilities and minimal service

It's a nice building and very well located near the sea front and centre of the village. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. There is parking on the street outside if you can find a space. It was probably a nice hotel once but now you basically have a room in a building with a breakfast just about on the acceptable side of minimal. There is a skeleton staff and as far as we could see no management presence. Neither the drinks nor the snack machine were working and it has a run down feel about the place and is not cheap given the lack of facilities. We were there on the Tuesday after the referendum on Sunday 1st October when there was a general strike, no shops, cafes or restaurants were open. Whereas some hotels laid on sandwiches or snacks for their guests, this hotel had nothing not even working snack or drink machines. There is a bar in the hotel but it clearly has not opened for years and it was not possible to buy a beer or a drink. Other hotel managers said they thought it their responsibility to lay on what they could for their guests in Octavia there is no management let alone any sense of responsibility towards their guests. I don't blame the staff who were present, they get their lack of initiative from the management who are the ones to blame and if they want to run a hotel they should get their act together and run one properly!
Nice relax stop before/after going to Figueres or PortLligat.

We had a quiet spacious triple family size room with big balcony overlooked the courtyard (that exactly what we wanted because in the rooms with street view more noise). We had a strong free Wi-Fi in the room, no one asked us to pay extra (was surprised that other travelers are writing about an additional payment for Wi-Fi, maybe the hotel improved something in this regard.)
Supermarket is just across the hotel. Private gated parking 10 euros per day which is safe and close to the hotel. Central great location, clean bathroom and facility, AC, elevator, safe in the room (4 euros), friendly staff great speaking English which made a reservation for us for dinner upon our request, gave us a city map and answered for all our questions, reasonable price for room with nice breakfast included. 2 minutes walk to the harbor and nice restaurant and shopping area. For a three-star hotel everything looked very decent. We got exactly what we paid for and what we expected. Nice relax stop in Cadaques before/after going to Figueres or Port Lligat.
Basic but good.

Great location by the sea and central to everything. Very basic but clean and tidy with adequately sized room and bathrooms. Rooms are air conditioned. Serves typical continental breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Great location, poorer facilities

The hotel in itself is very, very basic. The rooms feel quite old, even though it's not really run down. It just feels like it would be needing some major renovations to make it a bit more modern. Rooms and hotel was clean though. The breakfast was very basic as well, some toast and jam and juice basically. No problem communicating with the staff (spoke English).
But on the other hand, the price was quite good, even in the high season, there were rooms available, and the best thing, the location! The hotel is situated just by the sea, we saw the beach and the sea from our balcony.
The village of Cadaqués is a real gem on the coast, so it's well worth a visit.
A warning though, the streets of Cadaqués are (extremley) narrow, steep and filled with parked cars and sharp turns, so don't try to make any excursions here looking for parking if you don't have to. The hotel has a parking right outside (10 €), but if that is full (or you don't manage to get there), I would definitley recommend the big, main parking just when driving into the city (21€/24 h). The extra money spent is well worth it!
